92w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein is here with a hands on tour video demo of Sound Shapes for PS Vita from GDC 2012 below today.
To quote: It's Game Developers Conference time once again, and while headlines are a bit light, it's a great place to find game developers (of course).
We'll be bringing you videos, interviews, and conversations over the next several days, as well as a mega GDC Blogcast on Thursday.
The first game we got ahold of here at GDC is upcoming PS Vita musical platformer Sound Shapes. The game is best seen (and heard), so we present here Jason deGroot of Queasy Games.
In this video, deGroot takes you on a tour through a never-before-seen level, as well as sharing the in-game tutorial, so you know exactly what you'll be seeing when you load up Sound Shapes for the first time.
So when do you get to play Sound Shapes on your own personal Vita? The Queasy Games team doesn't yet have a release date, but they confirmed that a pre-release demo is in the making. We'll keep you posted.

92w ago - Sony Director of Network Advertising David Winding has announced today that MotorStorm RC will be driving to PS Vita for FREE courtesy of Scion!
To quote: Back in November, we revealed that Evolution Studios was working on a new title, MotorStorm RC, which would be released in the US as a downloadable game for both the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita.
The game received critical praise when it launched in the UK two weeks ago.
We think you'll agree that the wait was worth it, as we are pleased to not only announce that the PS3 version will be available beginning tomorrow separately for $9.99 ($7.49 for PlayStation Plus subscribers), but to also let you know that the PS Vita version of MotorStorm RC will also be available as a free download thanks to our partners at Scion.
That's right- for a limited time, the complete Vita MotorStorm RC game is available for download absolutely free - no additional purchases necessary!
Not only that, but you'll be able to drive a custom RC version of Scion's iQ which is exclusive to the PS Vita version of the game. And be sure to check out the plethora of downloadable content which will become available for purchase for both versions of the game tomorrow.
92w ago - Namco Bandai Games Community Manager Rich Bantegui has announced today that Ridge Racer for PS Vita releases on March 13th with free DLC details below!
To quote: Those of you that have been following along know that we at NAMCO BANDAI Games have been very active here with updates on our titles for the PlayStation Vita, including Touch My Katamari and Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen. But, as many of you have been asking me, what's up with RIDGE RACER?
It's out in Japan, and my friends in Europe are already racing... but when are we finally going to get behind the wheel, and when exactly in the 'Launch Window' are we going to hit the road with Reiko again? WHAT'S THE DEAL!?
We know, we know. Launch days and RIDGE RACER usually are one and the same, and while our friends abroad are already racing, the teams have been taking every ounce of feedback into consideration for a full-throttle launch in North America.
Thankfully, today we can confirm that the game will officially become available in on March 13th for $29.99 at retail and $24.99 for digital download from the PlayStation Store.
As a token of appreciation for our most dedicated fans of RIDGE RACER's classic beauty and blistering speed, NAMCO BANDAI Games America has decided to offer a free DLC pack for everyone...
93w ago - Following up on his previous update, today PS Vita homebrew developer wololo has announced that the PS Vita Half Byte Loader (VHBL) will arrive shortly after March 1, 2012 with details below.
To quote: "This has been a tough week for lots of you, coming to my blog everyday to see that no new information was available about the release of VHBL. Trust me, it's been a much tougher week for me, making sure things go according to my humble plan, coping with a few more issues than expected, and overall, taking all the insults about "being a faker" or "trying to boost my ego" without being able to say anything else than "please trust me".
Ok, let's reveal a few essential things here, starting with the bad news: The game used by Teck4′s exploit is not available on the US vita store. Blame Sony and their "275 out of 900 PSP games available for your vita" scheme for this, not us. Part of the waiting time was to see if Sony would add this game to the US store at some point. It is obviously compatible since it is available in other continents, so my guess is that this is a marketing or a legal decision.
