ESRB Watch: More Sega Classics Coming to the XBLA and PSN

300w ago - Some digging at the official ESRB Web site by Shard of NeoGAF (linked above) has uncovered several new SEGA classic titles which are destined for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.

To quote: Well, you all know the drill, a bit of deep search has yielded the following ratings.

- Sonic The Hedgehog 3 SEGA Everyone Comic Mischief Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 3

Quite the bounty listed, it is interesting in light of that Sega comp disc getting a release next year.
 

NXE: Play System Link/XBL on Two XBox 360s with One Disc

305w ago - Nimrod of Digiex.net (linked above) has shared a method to play System Link / XBox Live over 2 XBox 360 consoles with just one disc.

It could end with some pretty bad results so its not exactly an ideal solution, meaning the best solution may be to just buy two copies of the game.

However, to perform this method you will need a paperclip, the new NXE, a single copy of the game you want to play on Live/System Link and a steady hand. To quote:

Stage One: Install the game you wish on one of the consoles to the hard drive. You will be doing this on the console that will have its DVD drive emergency ejected.

Once installed launch the game and let the Xbox 360 check the disc in the drive and confirm its valid and allow the game to load.

Its IMPORTANT at this stage to wait for the DVD drive to fully spin down. If unsure, wait at LEAST 10 minutes to be safe. Feel the drive, and make sure the disc is NOT spinning.

Once your happy that the DVD drive has fully spun down, if you wish do continue.

Stage Two: Prepare to emergency eject the DVD tray. There is a system in place in virtually every disc drive made that allows you to eject the disc drive even if the buttons jammed or no power. It involves using a paperclip in a specific hole, the...
 

Mercenaries 2 Total Payback Update Hits PSN & XBLM in October

311w ago - Pandemic have announced that they will release the "Total Payback" update for Mercenaries 2: World in Flames on October 13th for Xbox Live and on October 20th for the PlayStation Network.

This update will allow players to create even more chaos in the streets and hills of Venezuela, offering: cheats, SIX new playable characters, cross-region Co-Op multiplayer SUPPORT.

Pandemic have also announced that they will Pandemic will release the first Mercenaries 2: World in Flames Downloadable Content (DLC) in November.

Rocketmen: It Came from Uranus on XBLA, PSN next week!

332w ago - With a title like this, you know the jokes are going to start rolling in. Still, it hasn't stopped Capcom from announcing that the next chapter in the Rocketmen downloadable action series, Rocketmen: It Came from Uranus, will be available through Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network next week.

The game will be available on the XBLA this May 14 and will be priced at 400 points. The PlayStation Network downloadable version will go live a day after on May 15 and will for the set price of US$ 4.95. Players blast off through three new maps, as well as several new toys to zap all the new enemies with.

Here are the complete details of what Rocketmen: It Came from Uranus will contain:

3 New Weapons:

* Blobber: Shoots blobs of goo at enemies, does damage over time in the part of the ground that it covers.
* Beamer: Shoots lighting at enemies, does high intensity damage.
* Bomber: Shoots grenades instead of bullets; grenades explode on impact doing damage.

2 New Secondary Weapons:

* Falcon: Robotic falcon that attacks enemies automatically will disappear over time.
* Screw bomb: Rocket that turns into a proximity mine on impact

3 New Levels:

* Level 11 - Finding Jane: The player must escape the Saturnian prison mine...
