Intellivision Comes to PlayStation Home with Updated Game Classics

100°
83w ago - Intellivision Productions Inc President Keith Robinson has announced today that Intellivision is coming to PlayStation Home with updated video game classics!

Below are the details, to quote: Intellivision Productions, Inc. is excited to announce three of its classic games are coming to PlayStation Home.

Astrosmash, Shark! Shark! and Night Stalker, which thrilled players in the early 1980s, have been upgraded while staying true to the spirit of the games' classic looks and game play. We think of them as "enhanced yet completely faithful conversions," but we call them Intellivision Gen2.

When the Intellivision console was introduced in 1980, it drew attention with its 16-bit graphics. Of course, it takes more than great graphics to make great games, and Intellivision fans quickly discovered the fun of iconic games such as Astrosmash, Shark! Shark!, Night Stalker and many others.

Until now, the games released by Intellivision Productions and its publishing partners have primarily been exact, faithful reproductions - usually deliberate emulations - of the original titles.

While this great for players who want to relive their childhoods, we've wanted to try updating the games a bit; putting in some features we would have liked to put in back then.

PS3Tools GUI Edition Updated to v2.6, PS3 CEX to DEX App Added

1000°
92w ago - Following up on his previous revision, today PlayStation 3 developer PsDev has updated PS3Tools GUI Edition to version 2.6 which now includes PS3 CEX to DEX functionality as outlined below.

Download: PS3Tools GUI Edition v2.6

To quote: Hi everybody, here to release my new update.

PS3Tools GUI Edition v2.6 Changes:

  • Added CEX 2 DEX
  • New Interface
  • Fixed PKG decryptor button
  • Fixed EDAT Tool button
  • Removed second GUI form
  • Minor bug fixes and code changes to perform better

I have been asked a lot recently to add in a debug PKG decryptor because all I had is a Retail decryptor & extractor. Well I did, but last minute checks, I noticed it was not performing the way I wanted it too.

So instead of releasing faulty code/tool on my program and say it works half way, I'd rather withdraw the feature until a further update when I can have it working properly to my standards and what should be most.

PlayStation 3 CEX to DEX:

This whole CEX to DEX is going around, I felt like adding it to GUI form had to...

PSN Terms Updated, Sony Entertainment Network is Introduced

800°
136w ago - It's been only five weeks since the last PSN TOS update, and today I received an e-mail from Sony updating their new Terms of Service and Privacy Policy once again, which also introduces Sony Entertainment Network as outlined below.

According to the new Terms of Service Agreement (PDF File), those who continue to use PSN must essentially waive all rights to participate in new class action lawsuits against Sony and agree to resolve such matters on an individual basis only.

To quote: On September 15, 2011, Sony Network Entertainment America Inc. ("SNEA") will transfer its online services operations, including your wallet and the funds in it, to Sony Network Entertainment International LLC ("SNEI").

The first time you sign in to your PlayStation Network account on or after September 15, 2011, you will be asked to enter into a new Terms of Service and User Agreement ("TOS") and Privacy Policy with SNEI if you wish to continue using your PlayStation Network account. Please review all changes...
