132w ago - As a follow-up to the PS3 update, today Sony's European Product Manager Ross Alexander has shared an update on White Knight Chronicles: Origins for PSP.
To quote: We caught up with Hiroaki Iwahara, Main Planner at Matrix Corp, to talk about White Knight Chronicles: Origins on PSP.
How does White Knight Chronicles: Origins feed into the wider WKC universe?
10,000 years before the original PS3 game takes place, there was a period of strife known as the Dogma Wars. This struggle is between the Yshrenian Empire who are harnessing the power of the Knights in a bid to conquer the world, and the Athwani Mage Kingdom who are trying to stop them.
These events would shape history to come in the White Knight Chronicles saga, and White Knight Chronicles: Origins tells the story of the unsung heroes who lived through this period of unrest, only to be forgotten in the annals of time.
Can you tell us how the characters from the White Knight Chronicles universe fit into the game story?
There are some characters from the PS3 games who appear in our PSP title. For example, right at the start of the game your character will meet...

191w ago - Today Krome Studios Creative Director Steve Stamatiadis has shared the origins and inspirations in their upcoming PSN title Blade Kitten for PlayStation 3 and PSP, as follows:
Today I'm going to let you in on the secretes behind the reason why our arcade sidescroller looks the way it does. Once upon a time...
When I was a kid, way back in the dark ages before games (better known to many as the early 1970s), I used to watch a lot of cartoons: Speed Racer, Battle of the Planets, Robotech. I always thought those cartoons just had the coolest stories, action and look; It's really no surprise to me that I gravitated towards that style of drawing.
By the end of the 80s when I was studying animation and getting into drawing comics, my fate was sealed - I had become one those non-Japanese anime artists. But I found that I also loved comics and animation from around the world. US, UK, French, you name it, I grew into an international animation and comic lover.
For those taking notes here, these are the creators that I think have most influenced my style, but not necessarily the look of Blade Kitten. First and foremost is the work of the amazing animation director Hayao Miyazaki; I'll always have soft spots for Nausicaä, Totoro and Spirited Away.
197w ago - The PlayStation 3 version of Dragon Age: Origins Return to Ostagar downloadable content has passed certification, and is now scheduled to hit PS3 via PSN on March 11, 2010.
The expansion was supposed to be released for all three platforms (PS3, XBox 360, PC) during the holidays but got pushed back; it eventually released for the 360 in January but had to be taken back due to glitches and other problems.
Then, on January 29, 360 and PC owners finally got a clean expansion, but PS3 owners have been waiting ever since.
To quote: "Now an official post on the BioWare forums has announced that the new content has finally passed PlayStation 3 certification, and will be hitting the PlayStation Network on March 11th, giving players four days to blaze through Ostagar before the Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening expansion is released.
It's still a relatively long wait, but at least you'll be busy for a while once it drops."
205w ago - BioWare has announced that the long awaited downloadable content (DLC) for Dragon Age Origins, dubbed Return to Ostagar, will be released for the XBox 360 and PC on January 5, 2009.
PlayStation 3 owners will have to wait until later this January. No reasons on why the PlayStation 3 version is delayed, but perhaps it's the exclusivity BioWare is giving to Microsoft's XBox 360 and the PC.
Press Release: BioWare, a division of Electronic Arts, announced today that the Return to Ostagar downloadable content (DLC) for Dragon Age: Origins will be released on January 5 in North America and Europe for the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game at a cost of 400 BioWare Points or Microsoft Points. The DLC will be available for the PlayStation 3 later in January priced at $4.99.
Return to Ostagar allows players to exact their revenge and embark on a quest for the mighty arms and armor of the once great King Cailan when they revisit Ostagar, the site of the Grey Wardens' darkest hour, to reclaim the honor and learn the secrets of Ferelden's fallen king.
Aaryn Flynn, the General Manager and Vice President at BioWare Edmonton had the following to say:
"We are thrilled at the way the fans have embraced Dragon Age: Origins and we're excited to welcome them back into the...
