27w ago - Sony Producer Doug Wilson announced that Sportsfriends is vaulting to the upcoming PS4 / PlayStation 4 video game console soon!

To quote: Hello PlayStation peoples, By now you've seen our upcoming game Sportsfriends, right? Local multiplaaaaaayer represent!

Last time I posted here was during E3, to tell you all about some of the new features. This time, I just want to share a simple announcement... We're bringing Sportsfriends to PlayStation 4!

Better yet, those who backed our PS3 version on Kickstarter will be entitled to download the PS4 version for free. (For everyone else, we're still determining whether we'll be doing cross-buy.)

We don't have an exact release date for the PS4 version, and it will likely come after the PS3 debut. But a PS4 version will come in the not-so-distant future.

Personally, I'm especially excited to get my game J.S. Joust running on DualShock 4. That thing even has a light bar on it!

Meanwhile, we're still working on an exact release date for our PS3 debut. We're not quite there yet, but we're getting close; our current plan is January. All four Sportsfriends games...

27w ago - Square Enix Associate Product Manager Mat Kishimoto announced today that Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX is coming to PS3 in 2014 alongside a video trailer below.

To quote: Thanks to all of your support, Kingdom Hearts has sold more than 20 million units worldwide! In celebration of this, and with absolute pleasure, we're proud to announce that Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX will launch globally in 2014!

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX is the follow-up compilation to Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX, and will be available exclusively on PS3. It will include the following goodies:

• Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix - previously on PS2 and exclusive to Japan
• Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix - previously on PSP and exclusive to Japan
• Kingdom Hearts Re:coded (HD remastered cinematics)

I'm so excited to be able to see all of these games included as a part of this compilation, but personally, the most exciting title may be Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix.

As many may not have been able to experience its awesomeness, it's truly one of the more phenomenal games, and now completely rebuilt in HD - you'll be able to play it on your big-screen TV for the first time.

DICE Announces the Battlefield 4 Open Beta Starts Today on PS3

28w ago - DICE Community Manager Vincent Vukovic announced that the Battlefield 4 Open Beta starts today on PS3 with details below, as follows:

Help Us Make the Game Better

These are exciting times for Battlefield fans, and everyone at DICE! Today, we're releasing the Battlefield 4 open beta on PS3, and we want you all to join.

Simply by taking part in the beta, you'll help us test the servers, online functionality, and gameplay to make sure the PS3 launch on October 29th goes as smoothly as possible.

In the open beta, you'll be able to play both the classic Conquest mode and Domination, which you might recognize from Battlefield 3: Close Quarters (it's basically a faster and tighter version of Conquest, with more emphasis on infantry combat). The map on offer is Siege of Shanghai - you might recognize it from E3, when we first unveiled it and where the public got their very first hands-on with Battlefield 4.

Now, we want to bring that experience - complete with game-changing Levolution events like the big skyscraper collapsing or setting off car alarms - to all of our fans on PS3. It's you, the player, triggering these moments.

We're also looking to our fans to provide valuable feedback on the overall gaming experience. This is in every sense...
