To quote: Those of you that have been following along know that we at NAMCO BANDAI Games have been very active here with updates on our titles for the PlayStation Vita, including Touch My Katamari and Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen. But, as many of you have been asking me, what's up with RIDGE RACER?
It's out in Japan, and my friends in Europe are already racing... but when are we finally going to get behind the wheel, and when exactly in the 'Launch Window' are we going to hit the road with Reiko again? WHAT'S THE DEAL!?
We know, we know. Launch days and RIDGE RACER usually are one and the same, and while our friends abroad are already racing, the teams have been taking every ounce of feedback into consideration for a full-throttle launch in North America.
Thankfully, today we can confirm that the game will officially become available in on March 13th for $29.99 at retail and $24.99 for digital download from the PlayStation Store.

98w ago - Today Product Development Director Erich Waas has shared details on the online features in ModNation Racers: Road Trip for the PS Vita handheld console.
To quote: I wanted to give Mark Wilson a break this week so that I could talk about the robust online features in ModNation Racers: Road Trip.
The team here in San Diego created an impressive list of online functionality to take advantage of the WiFi/3G and GPS functionality. This game is intended to let you take advantage of your road trips--whether they're across the country, to another state or just traveling between home and work or school.
More importantly, ModNation Racers: Road Trip was designed to work around your schedule and let you compete with your friends whenever (and wherever) you want.
1. Competitive Localized Leaderboards
When a gamer who has opted to "Use Location Data" posts a lap time to the Leaderboards, that time is connected to their current location. Gamers can personalize their location names (i.e., My Home, My Work, Mark's House Where I Always Win, etc.) for easy reference. These times become part of the Local Leaderboards which gamers can use to compete in a fun arcade-style atmosphere.
Gamers can also select one of their saved locations and view other competitors'...
111w ago - Today Naughty Dog Community Strategist Eric Monacelli has shared an Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception PS3 video preview dubbed Race to the Ring on Spike TV's Premiere.
To quote: Nathan Drake's adventures are never easy: There's danger around every corner!
As you may remember from our casting call, Spike TV developed a blockbuster reality competition that brings that action to life in the UNCHARTED 3: Drake's Deception Race to the Ring TV special that airs on Spike TV Monday, October 31st at 11:30pm Pacific Time (10:30pm Central).
We were stoked to hear from so many wannabe Drakes out there. After we sorted through the mountain of die-hard UNCHARTED fans that entered, we chose five lucky contestants - all with very different backgrounds - to participate in a competition worthy of an UNCHARTED adventure.
The competition will test the limits of their endurance, strength, accuracy, and agility while pushing their knowledge of Drake's adventures to the extreme.
For a taste of the action, check out our preview video for the UNCHARTED 3: Drake's Deception Race to the Ring Special below.
120w ago - Today Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Rey Gutierrez has made available some video footage of Need for Speed: The Run on PS3 - featuring 200 racers and one big avalanche!
To quote: Interactive cinemas, fast cars and loud tunes propelled The Run at E3, but all along EA Black Box was quietly scheming to reveal more at Gamescom.
In my play session, I chased after a pearl white Laborghini Aventador down a treacherous mountain road on Independence Pass in Colorado. Then it happened: I found myself staring at an oncoming avalanche from behind the wheel of my car, plowing and drifting through chaos while I sat comfortably in a dark room at EA's show floor.
I couldn't help but smile after my demo session with Need for Speed: The Run, knowing that I finally got to play a true-to-form Michael-Bay-inspired Hollywood action racer on my PS3.
I got a few minutes with DeLong and picked his brain about a retaining the authenticity and how the high-tech Frostbite rendering engine opens up new storytelling vistas for this action racer.
130w ago - Team RamRod's Brandon Akiaten has posted up a video today spotlighting modding in ModNation Racers for Sony's upcoming PS Vita handheld console.
To quote: As most of you heard at the Sony Press Conference kicking off E3, we are proudly bringing the ModNation franchise to the much anticipated PlayStation Vita. It was a great opportunity to share with you all some of the things our team has in store.
For starters, the ModNation Racers PS3 Community has created in just over a year's time over 2 million Mods, Karts and Tracks. All of which will be available to anyone who purchases ModNation Racers (Working Title) for PS Vita on day one.
That means by using the online capabilities and processing power of the PS Vita, the ModNation team has made it possible for users to download any PS3 user generated creation and bring it with them on the go.
The team has also made huge strides in creating a ground up effort to make a ModNation title that takes full advantage of the PlayStation Vita features. As mentioned in the Press Conference, this title is not a port of the PSP or PS3.
On the creation side, we showed that in a matter of seconds how fast and easy it is to create a track by drawing it with your finger.
