6w ago - Digital Dreams Level Designer Roy van de Mortel confirmed today alongside a PlayStation Vita video trailer that Metrico on PS Vita arrives on August 5, 2014.

To quote: Hi fellow PlayStation enthusiasts! We're finally ramping up to the release of our first big title, the infographics action game [Register or Login to view links]. We got loads of questions during development, which we are really excited to finally answer in this blog post!

One of the most frequently asked question is; when is Metrico coming out? We're proud to announce that Metrico will be available on PlayStation Network August 5th in the US, exclusively on PS Vita!

Another frequent question was: "Who did the awesome music?" You're in the right place to find out as well! But the most frequent question was the request for Metrico gameplay footage. We want to start this post by giving you exactly that:

Showing Metrico gameplay

The main reason we took such a long time to show gameplay footage is because we always felt the main mechanics of Metrico are quite tricky to explain through video. We never got around to solving this, even though this is probably a recurring issue for novel game concepts.

Escape Hatch: Major Update Comes to Starlight Inception on PS Vita

6w ago - Escape Hatch Entertainment President Garry M Gaber announced today that a major update is coming to Starlight Inception on PS Vita.

To quote: In this blog, we wanted to focus on the major update (live now) that we completed for [Register or Login to view links], one of the only first-person / third-person space combat experiences on PS Vita.

This was our first title on Vita, and as a small indie developer with limited resources both for development and testing, a lot of folks thought we weren't in the game for the long haul.

Hopefully this update dispels those notions. We're committed to this product and have been working hard since its release in late April to address issues in the game, add more features, and generally polish the product. We also have plans for future updates, both to address any issues that arise from this update, as well as to expand the game and its feature set.

You can find the full release notes [Register or Login to view links]. As you can see, the list is rather extensive; we'll just focus on a select few of these in this blog entry. We'll also be posting more videos to our [Register or Login to view links]

7w ago - FarSight Studios Community Manager Mike Lindsey announced today that new tables are coming to Pinball Arcade on PS4, PS3 and PS Vita platforms.

To quote: Hey Pinball fans! I'm Mike Lindsey, Community Manager at FarSight Studios. I'm originally from the Big Bear area where we recreate all these amazing tables.

It's awesome to have the opportunity to do what I love (talk to people and make friends), live in the mountains where I feel most at home, and work on a game that is preserving something as cool as real pinball for all of it's fans out there.

Enough about me, though! We know you guys have been waiting for more pinball tables in Pinball Arcade on PS4, PS3, and PS Vita.

Today, we're proud to announce that Black Knight 2000, WHO Dunnit, High Speed, and Junk Yard will be available on July 15th for PS3 and PS Vita, and then on July 22nd for PS4.

This launch will be retrofitting your system with 80′s and 90′s tables packed with action, suspense, and comedy. These four tables brought tons of excitement to so many when arcades were running at full steam across America. FarSight studios is determined to bring back some of that long lost enjoyment.

MouseCraft is Out Today on PS4, PS3 and PS Vita Platforms

7w ago - Crunching Koalas Co-Founder Tomasz Tomaszewski announced that MouseCraft is out today on PS4, PS3 and PS Vita platforms!

To quote: We're very happy to announce that MouseCraft is available today on PlayStation Store for PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. We're proud to see our game launched on PlayStation as a console exclusive, and we hope that everyone enjoys playing.

It seems like a long time ago when we formed our studio, Crunching Koalas, and began working on MouseCraft. Way back when we started we decided to focus on a specific type of game that we called "Crossover Games" - games that can appeal to indie, casual, and core gamers all at once.

That's a simple idea on paper, but much harder to achieve in a game. We've tried our best to make MouseCraft a crossover game that can be enjoyed by everyone.

To do this, we've focused on making a puzzle game with simple mechanics explainable in one sentence (drop blocks to help the mice get to the cheese), but difficult to master.

We've made the difficulty depend on the player making good decisions, not manual skills, and we worked to reward players that go above and beyond in terms of item collecting and puzzle solving, without punishing those who simply want to play through at their own pace.

Once again though,...

Video: The Origin of Titan Souls on PS4 and PlayStation Vita

50°
8w ago - Acidnerve's Mark Foster shared a video trailer today showcasing the origin of Titan Souls on PS4 and PlayStation Vita with details below.

To quote: Armed with a single, indestructible arrow, Titan Souls on PS4 and PS Vita drops you into the midst of a desolate world you have no knowledge of.

Exploration will soon reveal the hiding places of the Titans that reside here, and it's your job to take them down.

Tense, punishing boss battles are a love of ours that we think a lot of gamers share. These kind of battles are the very core of the gameplay in Titan Souls. There are no health bars - a single strike will end your life, and a single hit to a Titan's weak spot is all you'll need to pull off a kill.

It's not as simple as it sounds, however - each Titan is completely unique, with its own threatening move set and its own hidden weakness to be exposed. It's a challenging game, and we're not going to help you out with any overt tutorials or prompts either - you'll need to observe carefully and figure things out for yourself. Whilst simultaneously managing to survive. Maybe we're just horrible people.

The idea was born out of a Ludum Dare jam game of the same name that we made in a weekend...
