To quote: We're excited to announce a new third-person action shooter called #killallzombies, coming to PS4 first.

In the distant future, #killallzombies is thrusting civilians into a sport of survival where a ravenous zombie population is unleashed in the name of sports entertainment, with television spectators voting upon how many zombies they want to uncage to make survival all the more difficult for you to accomplish - with the potential of a collective horde of more than 1,000 zombies.

The arena is comprised of hundreds of hexagonal tiles that are capable of totally changing the dynamics of the gameplay by altering the landscape.

For example, spawning new obstacles, such as various cars and knives and others; hexagons that cave in on themselves to create dangerous traps; hexagons that rise from the ground to create a blockade that may keep some zombies out, but also keep the player in. And there are many more ever-changing gameplay dynamics.

Social interactivity is a hugely important feature for #killallzombies as we want to deliver the most engaging,...

Video: PS4 DualShock 4 Revision AK8CUHZCT1F1 Comparison Arrives

50°
6w ago - Today YouTube user Trials Of Ataraxia shared a video of a PS4 DualShock 4 revision AK8CUHZCT1F1 comparison to the previous PlayStation 4 DS4 controller versions below.

From the video's caption and comments: A brief look at the differences between the launch and new DualShock 4.

From Trials Of Ataraxia: I don't think either is better. It's just a comparison. There were rumors of a longer battery life and they are different batteries but the same stats basically.

Actually the ribbon cable for the touch sensor goes through the plastic of the mounting plastic for the PCB. If modding, that is helpful to know. It has to go through that hole now. I still say the Dpad is different and the 2-tone is not a pronounced. Maybe that gives is a less glossy look. The grey part is def less grey and more black.

Finally, from Eric Maxcer: The only difference is the rubber on the sticks. Everything else is your imagination, the old DS4 is glossy because it's been used.. like this one.

350°
7w ago - Today Sony has made available a [Register or Login to view links] revealing that they have already managed to cut the costs of PS4 hardware production which leaves PlayStation 4 fans curious if a price drop will be coming soon.

To quote: "The cuts have allowed Sony to revise its financial expectations, increasing its projected FY2015 operating income for its Games & Network Services division from 20bn yen to 25bn yen.

"Sales are expected to be higher than the May forecast primarily due to the strong performance of the PS4," Sony said in its latest earnings report. "Operating income is expected to be higher than the May forecast primarily due to PS4 hardware cost reductions."

The reduced costs suggest Sony could be better placed to cut the price of PS4 at an earlier point in its life-cycle - or continue to reap improved profits from ongoing sales.

PS4 sales stood at 7 million in April although Sony has failed to provide an update since. PS3 and PS4 sold a combined 3.4m units between April-June 2014, however, of which the vast majority are expected to be PS4."
