Video: Sony Shares a Destiny: Exodus Blue PS4 Video Walkthrough

50°
16w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements shared a Destiny: Exodus Blue PS4 video walkthrough today for PlayStation 4 and PS3 fans below.

To quote: Within the shadow of a great Golden Age colony ship, Guardians hold blood-pounding contests of skill in memory of Exodus Blue, and all the ship represented.

This mid-sized, infantry-focused competitive map is exclusive to PlayStation until Fall 2015, and has been optimized for both 3-on-3 and 6-on-6 matches. With the launch of [Register or Login to view links] just days away, we take a closer look at this exclusive Crucible map and what secrets it has in store for aspiring Guardians.

Like Bungie's previous works, Exodus Blue is built with intricate exteriors and set before gorgeous backdrops. The map supports five different game modes (Skirmish, Control, Salvage, Clash, and Rumble) and has been designed with all three Guardian classes in mind.

Enjoy our video walkthrough for a look at Exodus Blue, and prepare to fight back the darkness when Destiny launches on September 9th for PS4 and PS3.

17w ago - 4A Games Studio Rep Bi50N made available a PS4 launch trailer video announcing that Metro Redux is officially out today on PlayStation 4.

To quote: It doesn't seem that long ago that we were revealing Metro Redux to the world - today we're incredibly proud to announce the launch of Metro Redux for PS4!

The entire team at 4A Games has been working for a year on this project, under some incredible circumstances (as anyone who has followed the news coming out of Ukraine will know).

Metro Redux includes both Metro: Last Light and the prequel Metro 2033, which has never been available on a PlayStation console until now.

We completely rebuilt Metro 2033 in our latest engine, and managed to get both games to run at 1080p, targeting 60fps on PS4. You can try each game individually via PlayStation Store for $24.99, or get both together in the retail Metro Redux double pack.

From everyone at 4A, thanks for all the support we've received this year - we hope you enjoy what we think is the definitive Metro experience.

To celebrate the launch, we put together a new trailer.

Video: Hello Games on No Man's Sky - A Whole Universe to Explore

17w ago - Hello Games Managing Director Sean Murray shared details below today on No Man's Sky proclaiming it's a whole universe to explore on PlayStation 4!

To quote: Hello PlayStation.Blog! I'm Sean Murray, and I work at a little indie studio in the UK, making a game called [Register or Login to view links] on PS4.

I'm writing this on a plane back from Gamescom, where we showed some press the game behind closed doors.

We've only done three days where we've talked to press about the game so far (two at E3 and one at the VGXs last year), but for an indie game we've had lots of interest and excitement. Something I'm still struggling to get my head around.

So much so that I didn't actually want to go to Gamescom! We've never actually shown any European press the game though, and we felt bad about that.

PlayStation provided a room and I gave a hundred press a demo of the game for an hour, together with a really rambling presentation... where I apparently never looked up at the crowd once.

I can't really remember what I said, but I guess I wanted to share some stories from development, and I thought maybe you'd find them interesting, too.

We tell people...

Dreamfall Chapters by Red Thread Games is Coming Soon to PS4

19w ago - Red Thread Games Creative Director Ragnar Tornquist announced today that Dreamfall Chapters is coming soon to PS4!

To quote: Hi everyone. My name is Ragnar Tornquist and I'm creative director at [Register or Login to view links] - the Norwegian indie studio working on Dreamfall Chapters; a Kickstarter-funded, story-driven episodic adventure coming soon to PS4.

We founded Red Thread in October 2012 in order to make what we call "games with soul" - mature, story-driven games with emotional and thematic depth, with heart... and soul.

In February 2013, we turned to Kickstarter with an initial goal of $850,000. One month later, we exceeded our wildest dreams by receiving almost twice that: an incredible $1.5 million! Through the amazing generosity and support of our fans, and with additional funding by the Norwegian Film Institute, we were finally able to begin work on our first game.

Dreamfall Chapters is a game about choice and consequence, about how the actions you take and the decisions you make - no matter how small or seemingly insignificant - touch the people around us, and how our lives in turn are shaped by the choices made by others.

It's also the continuation of a saga that began 15 years ago with The Longest Journey, a point-and-click...

White Paper Games Announces Ether One is Coming Soon to PS4

19w ago - White Paper Games Co-founder and Game Designer Pete Bottomley announced today that Ether One is coming soon to PS4 with details below.

To quote: Hey! We're [Register or Login to view links] and we're REALLY excited to announce that we're joining the PlayStation family. We released a game called Ether One back in March 2014 on PC and we're now focused on developing on PS4.

The exciting thing about releasing on PS4 is that we'll be creating Ether One from scratch in the new Unreal Engine 4. That means it's not just a direct port, we'll be re-building it again in UE4 to make it feel great on console.

To give you a little background about our studio, we're a team of five from Manchester in the UK. Ether One was our first game and we're really proud of what we achieved in a short space of time. Like being nominated for a Develop Award in the Use of Narrative, we've been blown away by how good the response from people has been.

We have to admit, we love our PlayStation, so when Sony asked us if we wanted to be on the platform our answer was unanimously YES! Sony have been really great providing a small studio like ours with so much support and the opportunity to get onto PS4, so we'd like to give them a massive thank you. So, what is Ether One?
