Prince of Persia devs planned something special for PS3 owners

250°
322w ago - You may or may not be aware that there's a vote taking place on the official Prince of Persia Web site. This poll allows people to pick one of three Xbox 360 achievements for the final game.

Not much use to PS3 owners, but Ubisoft has done its best to keep us sweet. The poll itself states that PS3 fans need not take umbrage and that they have "planned something special" for us too.

Whether this will have anything to do with the upcoming trophies for the game, or something else entirely, there's no real indication.

Needless to say, however, we're looking forward to seeing whatever it is Ubisoft comes up with. What can we say, we love surprises!

327w ago - The PlayStation Blog have answered many commonly asked questions about the game today.

Check below for a summary, and also HERE for the full FAQ.

From k.j.khaos:

Will the game support four-player Co-op offline or just online?

The four-players Co-op mode is supported online, and offline via LAN by linking two PS3 with two players split screen per PS3.

From the_icon:

Will the game support 4 player co-op and multiplayer in split screen? How much of the game-play takes place in open environments vs enclosed spaces?

The game supports two players split screen per PS3 in Co-op and multiplayer. You can connect two PS3 with 2 players playing split screen to make it four players. And you can even LAN four consoles to play four versus four... if you want to. And, it's an even split for gameplay in open vs closed environments. It ranges from claustrophobic firefights to stunning unbroken vistas - but you will be too busy with the action to take in the view.

From P_tear_griffin:

Will there be customizable elements to some weapons aside from nectar enhancement?

No need. The power of Nectar and the rebels resourcefulness will give you all the...

MotorStorm Devs want your Feedback!

327w ago - Nigel Kershaw, MotorStorm Pacific Rift's game director, has said that its not too late give feedback on the game so that it can be improved.

Kershaw highlighted the fact the split screen mode was down to the community. If you want to let the team know your thoughts, Kershaw recommends visiting their site evos.net.

To quote: He said: "If you've got something that bothers you in the game, then let us know. Things like split screen are in there because people really wanted it. That's what we want to do. You listen to people and act on it."

He added: "It's (MotorStorm Pacific Rift) getting there but it's never too late. If someone's got a great idea we want them to share it with us."

ThatGameCompany’s Devs create game in 24 hours

50°
337w ago - To quote from the source above: Hello, I'm Kellee Santiago from thatgamecompany, creators of flOw, and currently in development on flOwer. The fine people at Playstation.Blog are good enough to allow me to use my first post here to let you all in on a little thing we have going on here at thatgamecompany call the 24hr Game Jam.

Championed by our lead engineer John Edwards, the 24hr Game Jam was created as a way for us to do something quick, dirty, and fun ... and maybe let out a little steam in the process. The goal is always to make a game, from start to finish, on the PS3 in 24hrs.

We go from 10am Saturday to 10am Sunday, and then whatever we have, we lock it up. Future Game Jams might have more specific goals, but for this first one, we just wanted to see how much fun we could make in a day. Oh, and our game designer Nick Clark wanted something that was multiplayer that we could enjoy in the office.

So welcome... to Game Jam 0: Gravediggers

Goals:

* To see how much fun we could generate in 24 hours.
* To make something multiplayer we could play in the office.

Premise/Rules:

Player

You are a gravedigger. There can be up to 6 gravediggers competing against one another locally....
