PlayStation Vita Memory Cards Dumped by Mr.gas and Tomtomdu80

200°
4d ago - Today Wololo reports that PS Vita hackers mr.gas and tomtomdu80 have dumped Sony's PlayStation Vita Memory Cards with details below.

To quote: Progress on the native side of the Vita hacks is rare, so news like the one we are seeing today is always welcome:

Talk member mr.gas announced today that him and tomtomdu80 (whom you might remember for his VHBL port on Apache Overkill last year) were able to dump the contents of a PS Vita memory card. Although they are not sharing this content publicly for obvious reasons, they have given reasonable proof that their work is totally legit.

This is the first time we see such a dump being announced publicly, since developer katsu released technical documentation on how to copy Vita game cartridges' content more than 6 months ago. Keep in mind that his announce was for game cartridges, while we are talking of a memory card here.

Sony uses proprietary memory cards on the PS Vita, which makes them virtually impossible to read without any additional hardware.

Additionally, it is believed the content...

New Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Trailer - The Bright Master

50°
5d ago - Monolith Productions Community Manager Andy Salisbury made available a new Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor video trailer today for PS4 and PS3 fans dubbed The Bright Master below.

To quote: Today we're unveiling a brand new trailer for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor that reveals the long-speculated identity of the Wraith, the mysterious Spirit of vengeance that has denied protagonist Talion's death.

All of us at Monolith Productions are extremely excited to announce that the Wraith is the greatest smith of Middle-earth's Second Age, the Elf-lord Celebrimbor.

Celebrimbor's impact on Middle-earth is momentous. His skilled hands forged the Rings of Power.

Celebrimbor was once a genuine challenger to The Dark Lord, and still wields the power to vanquish Sauron, especially after his defeat by The White Council at Dol Goldur. After all, they've met on the battlefield before, centuries prior to the events of Shadow of Mordor.

Celebrimbor's tale is one that we knew needed to be told. His moral pedigree is far from black and white. His downfall was terrible, and driven by pride. And, that's only scratching the surface.

5d ago - Naughty Dog Community Strategist Eric Monacelli shared a video of The Last of Us Remastered today which details the PS4 Photo Mode below.

To quote: We made a [Register or Login to view links] of cool additions to The Last of Us Remastered to create the definitive The Last of Us game, but one of the features we're most excited about is Photo Mode.

After all, what's a beautiful post pandemic landscape if you can't share some good pictures of it?

Photo Mode is activated through the pause screen. You can activate it by simply tapping L3 to freeze the action in-game as long you aren't in a cutscene. For a clear description of how it works, check out a tutorial from Jeff Negus, our in-house editor and videographer:

Camera control, field of view, and depth of field adjustments will help you frame the perfect shot. Aesthetically, you can add one of ten different color filters and adjust its intensity.

You can choose to give your photo a vignette or even select from a selection of eleven different frames. If you like the look of film grain, you can add that as well. There are a ton of options for you to explore.
