Video: The Origin of Titan Souls on PS4 and PlayStation Vita

50°
4w ago - Acidnerve's Mark Foster shared a video trailer today showcasing the origin of Titan Souls on PS4 and PlayStation Vita with details below.

To quote: Armed with a single, indestructible arrow, Titan Souls on PS4 and PS Vita drops you into the midst of a desolate world you have no knowledge of.

Exploration will soon reveal the hiding places of the Titans that reside here, and it's your job to take them down.

Tense, punishing boss battles are a love of ours that we think a lot of gamers share. These kind of battles are the very core of the gameplay in Titan Souls. There are no health bars - a single strike will end your life, and a single hit to a Titan's weak spot is all you'll need to pull off a kill.

It's not as simple as it sounds, however - each Titan is completely unique, with its own threatening move set and its own hidden weakness to be exposed. It's a challenging game, and we're not going to help you out with any overt tutorials or prompts either - you'll need to observe carefully and figure things out for yourself. Whilst simultaneously managing to survive. Maybe we're just horrible people.

The idea was born out of a Ludum Dare jam game of the same name that we made in a weekend...

Soul Sacrifice Delta: New Gigas Encounter is Available Today

50°
4w ago - Sony Producer Kumi Yuasa announced that Soul Sacrifice Delta: New Gigas Encounter is available today with details below!

To quote: Sorcerers of [Register or Login to view links], the time has come for a new encounter on PS Vita. Gaze upon Gigas!

It's become a bit of a tradition that love stories in the Soul Sacrifice canon shouldn't have a happy ending. Well, Gigas' is no exception, I'm afraid.

"Recipe for disaster" would be a more accurate summary of the situation: take a lost soul, mix in a generous amount of desperation, sprinkle a glimmer of hope, and blend the lot with crushing disappointment. Let it simmer for long enough and the Sacred Chalice will do the rest!

We've incorporated three quests in the Additional Pacts VIII for you to break the ice (and each other's bones).

A new date calls for new clothes, but don't worry, we've got you covered with not one but two new outfits: the Sanctuarium chic "Healer" costume and the unapologetically Grimm "Beast" costume:

This is only fair, actually, since these factions have trusted the first spot of the Faction Power Balance. So to the Avalon fans out there, I will just say: work harder,...

50°
5w ago - Sony Associate Project Manager Nick Accordino shared new details today on PS Vita's upcoming action RPG dubbed Freedom Wars alognside a PlayStation Vita trailer video below.

To quote: It's my distinct honor to bring you more information regarding one of the biggest PS Vita titles you'll see this year - Freedom Wars!

The futuristic action game launched last week in Japan, so we wanted to bring a few more details to our North American "Prisoners."

Those who were able to visit the PlayStation booth at E3 might have had a chance to play our multiplayer co-operative demo - thanks to all who stopped by!

I saw a lot of expert thorn-wielders soaring across the skies of the Panopticon, sawing Abductors apart and saving civilians to decrease their 1 million year sentence of penal servitude, and I must say, I was very impressed. However, the one recurring question I continue to hear from the community is - "How's the story?" Well, let's take a peek:

Freedom Wars promises intense co-op action with a captivating storyline. I'd like to leave you today with a message from our Japan Studio Producer, Junichi Yoshizawa. Yoshizawa-san has been tirelessly promoting Freedom Wars throughout Japan across the...

Bamtang Games: Kilka Card Gods on PS Vita: The Peruvian Influence

50°
5w ago - Bamtang Games Creative Director Adam Johnston detailed the Peruvian influence in Kilka Card Gods on PS Vita below today.

To quote: Have you had a chance to play Kilka Card Gods yet? The latest game from our studio, Bamtang Games, was released on June 10th for PS Vita - the first ever self-published launch by a Latin American game development studio on the PlayStation platform.

Needless to say, we're all excited here! Kilka Card Gods is the result of several years of development efforts, and we're extremely happy that one of our games is paving the way for more games developed in Peru and Latin America to be released for PlayStation.

We're especially proud about Kilka Card Gods because the game has been an opportunity for us to portray many elements from Peruvian culture. There are few games that have included Peru as part of their narrative, and in most cases, developers haven't paid much attention to the way Peru and its culture were presented in their games.

With Kilka, we set out to change that and show that things could be done differently - that the richness of Peruvian culture could be accurately and elegantly captured in a way that borrows from tradition while at the same time crafting new stories and characters that players could fall in love with.
