Roll7: Not a Hero is Coming to PS4 and PlayStation Vita, Details

50°
5w ago - Roll7's Jamie is here from E3 2014 with details on Not a Hero, which is coming to PS4 and PlayStation Vita platforms.

To quote: Hey, Jamie from Roll7 here! Did you see us? We were shown at the E3 Sony Press Conference! How cool is that?!

We're incredibly excited about bringing our next game to the fantastic PlayStation Nation. Not A Hero is looking better and better every day, and it wouldn't be possible without John Ribbins, Not A Hero's creator and lead developer.

Now, tracking down John can be hard sometimes - especially in the midst of pre-E3 craziness - but we really wanted to reveal some exclusive Not A Hero news for you guys, so we sat him down for a few minutes and grabbed what we could before he flew out with a skateboard under his arm to hook up with Devolver and their carnival of E3 delights.

ON NOT A HERO'S CHARACTERS...

Not A Hero, in a way, is a very character-driven game because all of our playable characters come from different backgrounds, feel distinct and play very differently. In some cases, it's brought on by special abilities; slow reloading, different guns, speed etc. We want to make it so every character brings something different to the table.

The first playable character you meet is Steve, and he's a standard issue,...

Blue Planet: Tetris Ultimate Announced for PS Vita, Coming This Fall

100°
5w ago - Blue Planet Software President and CEO Maya Rogers announced today that Tetris Ultimate is coming to PS Vita this Fall.

To quote: Greetings from Maya Rogers at Blue Planet Software, sole agent for the Tetris brand.

This is an exciting time for us. You may have heard already, but Tetris is celebrating a huge milestone. 30 years!

That's right, the iconic puzzle game that emerged in Moscow back in 1984, eventually landing on Nintendo Game Boy, and then grew to be one of the most recognized and cherished video game franchises of all time, is celebrating the big 3-0 this year.

While there are a number of brands in the games industry that have stood the test of time, few are known to be enjoyed by people worldwide - across all ages, backgrounds, and cultures.

That's why we're celebrating with the theme "We All Fit Together," since it speaks to the very nature of how Tetris is played, as well as how the game transcends all demographics to be enjoyed by all. We can all play Tetris together, because we all fit together.

As we head into the future, we are committed to bringing you all kinds of new Tetris experiences that fit the many ways we live. A huge part of that is bringing Ubisoft's Tetris Ultimate game to PlayStation Vita this fall.

Steel Wool Games: Flyhunter Origins Buzzes Onto PS Vita Soon

50°
5w ago - Steel Wool Games Co-Founder Andrew Dayton announced today that Flyhunter Origins buzzes onto PS Vita soon with details below.

To quote: Hello, I'm Andrew Dayton, Co-Founder of Steel Wool Games. Getting the green light to make our first game doesn't seem that long ago. And now, we're living the dream and exhibiting Flyhunter Origins on PS Vita this year at E3!

Steel Wool Games was started by five animated film veterans (including myself) with a shared love for games, a desire to create something fun together and a combined 60 years of film animation experience. Sounds simple, probably makes for a good story. How hard could it be?

Well, hard... exceptionally hard in fact. But it was also an absolutely amazing experience.

We knew what we were good at and were well aware of what we lacked in experience. Being a gamer makes you no more fit to design a game than an avid movie watcher would be directing a film. Joshua (one of our other Co-Founders) had experience building game rules for his table top gaming company Zombiesmith, so we had a good grounding in game mechanics.

Building a game that we wanted to play ourselves was daunting but we were determined. We did our research, studied games of the genre and we took advantage of the experience in game craft from our...
