Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD Leaps to PlayStation Vita Today

100°
1w ago - Oddworld Inhabitants Community Manager Wil Bunce-Edwards announced that Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD leaps to PlayStation Vita today.

To quote: Hey PlayStation fans. We're excited today to announce that later today we'll be releasing Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD onto PS Vita via PlayStation Store.

For those that don't know the game, Abe is back after starring in the first two Oddworld games (and this year's Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty on PlayStation 4), but now he's playing second fiddle to a new hero called Munch. Munch is a Gabbit, and the last of his kind. As their guardian angel, it's your destiny to bring his species back from the brink of extinction.

Munch and Abe's destination is Vykkers Labs, a floating pharmaceutical station running all sorts of grizzly experiments on Oddworld's cutest critters in the name of a better fabric softener. It's here they'll find not only stockpiled Mudokon eggs on sale to factory owners as cheap labor, but also the last can of Gabbiar, the disgusting delicacy that is raw Gabbit eggs.

On their way they'll infiltrate factories and bankrupt the CEOs by donating to a corrupt charity that's funding their latest Oddysee.

Munch's Oddysee carries many similar themes and mechanics to Abe's Oddysee, including the planned extinction of...

Road Not Taken Free PS4 Update is Out Now on PlayStation 4

1w ago - Spry Fox CEO David Edery announced that the Road Not Taken free PS4 update is out now on PlayStation 4 with details below!

To quote: Hi folks! We're pleased to announce the first major (free!) update to Road Not Taken is hitting your PS4s now! There's a lot of goodies in here, the most notable of which include:

• "Easier" mode and hard mode: many people have told us that while they love the original gameplay and the art in Road Not Taken, the game is simply too difficult for them. After chewing on this feedback for a while, we decided to split the game into two modes, Normal and Hard.

"Hard" is basically our original mode with just a few tweaks; "Normal" is a new mode that is more generous with energy and has less crowded (and therefore less difficult) rooms, among other changes.

In addition, checkpoints are now less punishing to use (in both modes), so players who felt like they were pointless before will hopefully find them more of a tempting gamble now.

• New "just for fun" Timed Mode: try to rescue all the kids within four minutes! You lose time whenever you take damage, and you add time to the clock whenever you eat food and rescue children. Timed Mode has no impact on your career, so it's a great way to enjoy Road Not Taken for a few minutes with limited...
