8w ago - Naughty Dog Community Strategist Eric Monacelli shared a PS4 video today showcasing the first gameplay of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End on PlayStation 4 below.

To quote: Saturday morning at the inaugural PlayStation Experience we unveiled the very first Uncharted 4: A Thief's End gameplay. In case you missed it, here's the full playthrough:

Although we are still in the pre-alpha stage of development, everything you see in the video is in-game and in real-time running at 1080p and a stable 30hz.

It's looking pretty spectacular already and we still have quite some time to optimize and refine our technology to make this the best looking and playing Uncharted game to date.

If you're wondering who called Nathan Drake "little brother" and exactly what that means, we'll be trickling out more details soon. Why is Drake on an island? What's he searching for?

Who's shooting at Drake again and why is he shooting back? Be sure to pay attention to our Twitter feed and social channels for the latest news and updates. 2015 is going to be awesome.

Videos: Miegakure for PS4: Exploring a 4D World on PlayStation 4

8w ago - President of MTB Design Works Inc Marc ten Bosch shared some new PS4 Miegakure videos today spotlighting the exploring of a 4D world on PlayStation 4 below.

To quote: Miegakure is a 4D game. It lets players explore a detailed 4D world and use their ability to move in 4D to perform miraculous feats. In this game, the fourth dimension is not time! It is an actual fourth dimension of space, that works just like the first three dimensions we are familiar with. If you count time, this game is 5D!

For a while games used to be 2D, taking place solely along two directions. For example, a game character could only move forwards and backwards, or jump up and down. Then came computers powerful enough to render 3D graphics, which allowed for full 3D movement: up / down, backwards / forwards and left / right.

(Of course, the graphics we see, while they are computed in 3D, are displayed on a 2D screen. They are projected down from 3D to 2D, in a way that mimics how our eyes perceive the third dimension.)

But it doesn't stop there. If in a 2D game every object's position is represented in the computer using two numbers, and if in a 3D game every object's position is represented using three numbers, what if each...

PlayStation Store Gets Discount Code Feature for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita

100°
11w ago - Following today's scheduled PSN maintenance update, users have now confirmed that Sony's PlayStation Store now offers a Discount Code feature for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita platforms.

Below are the details, to quote: "After today's PSN maintenance, which incidentally ended early, the PlayStation Store got an interesting addition: a field for "10-digit discount code" has been added to the cart on the web and mobile storefronts.

This feature is normally present in most online stores, with codes distributed as part of promotions, as purchase incentives or simply as bonuses to previous orders, but it wasn't supported by the PlayStation Store before.

At the moment we don't know how extensively the feature will be used or when the codes will start appearing in the wild, but considering that we're approaching the Holiday Season, it's definitely promising."
