Video: Minecraft on PS4, New PlayStation 4 Trailer Revealed

50°
28w ago - Mojang's Owen Hill made available a new PlayStation 4 video trailer today from E3 2014 which reveals Minecraft on PS4.

To quote: Hello! Owen from Mojang here! We make Minecraft. In the wake of this week's glitzy press conference, we thought it would be cool to talk a bit more about our blocky, buildy, crafty game.

Minecraft on PS4 will feature worlds 36 times bigger than the ones you might be used to on PS3. Existing players will be able to import PS3 saves to the PS4 version, allowing them to continue work on an immense structure or delve even deeper towards the Nether.

Making old saves compatible with the newer versions of the game was priority for Mojang and our trusted developer chums at 4J. We value the loyalty of PlayStation fans who bought Minecraft: Playstation 3 Edition last year, and want to make things as simple as possible for any early adopters. I've experienced the pain of lost progress many times; it's not cool.

For similar reasons, anyone who's previously bought Playstation 3 Edition will be able to upgrade to Playstation 4 Edition for a small fee. This applies to everyone who's bought Minecraft digitally and transfers their PSN account to their new console.

Our intention...

28w ago - Naughty Dog Community Strategist Eric Monacelli posted up a PS4 video trailer from E3 2014 today spotlighting Uncharted 4: A Thief's End for PlayStation 4.

To quote: You've been waiting for it and it's finally here. At E3 2014 we unveiled two trailers, one for each of the PS4 projects we're currently developing.

The UNCHARTED game we've been working on sees the return of... well, why don't you watch the trailer and see for yourself:

That's Nathan Drake rendered in full 1080p glory, using the power of our PS4 engine. All footage you see in the trailer was captured completely in engine. We're targeting 60fps for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, and as you can see, the visual fidelity for our character models will reach new heights.

In fact, thanks to the power of PS4, right now Drake's Uncharted 4 model is over double the polygons of Joel from The Last of Us PS3.

The next generation of Nathan Drake is going to be very real and will explore what it means when Drake is forced back into the world of thieves.

He will embark on a globe-trotting journey in pursuit of a historical conspiracy behind a fabled pirate treasure. It's his greatest adventure yet and will test his physical...

31w ago - Today 4A Games Studio Rep Bi50N posted up a PlayStation 4 video of Metro Redux proclaiming that the title is two games (Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux) and in 1080p on PS4!

To quote: I could say how excited we are to be showing you this trailer, but I have an idea of what you really want to know... so let's just cut to the chase. Metro Redux runs at 1080p, 60FPS on PlayStation 4.

We had to sneak the PS4 development kits into Kiev to make it happen, but we wholeheartedly think it was worth it... Metro Redux includes Metro 2033 (for the first time ever on a PlayStation platfrom) and Metro: Last Light, remastered for PlayStation 4, with all the gameplay, AI, gunplay, and graphical improvements we added in Last Light now applied to both games.

You'll be able to download each game - Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux - from PSN for just $24.99 each - or if you prefer, pick up the boxed Metro Redux double pack for only $50.

Expect to hear a lot more news from us between now and release later this summer! In the meantime, please enjoy our trailer for the game!
