65w ago - Digital Leisure Supervising Producer Paul Gold has shared some video footage of Mad Dog McCree today, which rides onto PSN this Tuesday.

To quote: Since we released Fast Draw Showdown a while back, classic arcade gamers have been begging us to revamp Mad Dog McCree and launch it on PSN. Well, we're stoked to announce that ALG classic Mad Dog McCree - in all its FMV glory - will be releasing this Tuesday, January 22nd on PlayStation Store.

We've completely remastered this shooter from the ground up, so get ready to unholster your PlayStation Move motion controller and take down that ruthless outlaw Mad Dog McCree!

This PS3 release includes a bunch of new features you could never get in the arcades. First off, the original video has been remastered in 720p and a fresh new interface was created to give a true western feel. Fresh difficulty modes will give even the fastest quickdraw a run to take out these vicious outlaws and post high scores to the worldwide Leaderboards.

Many gamers have fond memories of playing Mad Dog McCree in their local arcades and pizza shops, trying to show up their friends to see who the fastest gun is. Well, on top of the remastered HD video, leaderboards and Trophies, we've...

Ringzero: Burn The Rope Sizzles Onto PlayStation Vita Next Week

200°
80w ago - Ringzero Game Studio General Manager Franck Blaevoet has announced today that Burn The Rope will be sizzling onto PlayStation Vita next week.

To quote: Hi everyone, I'm Franck from Ringzero Game Studio and I'm happy to announce the release of Burn the Rope for PS Vita on 10th October.

Burn the Rope is an original game where you must burn as much rope as possible at each level. To start burning the rope you simply tap the touch screen wherever there is rope. Once the rope starts burning you can control the flame by rotating the screen.

The flame always burns up and it will burn out if it runs out of rope. The speed at which the flame travels along the rope is determined by the angle of the rope.

You can also control the flame using the touch screen as well as rotating the Vita. You can even use the rear touch panel (so your fingers won't block the view).

You can also pinch on the rear touch pad to zoom in or zoom out the view. This can help if you have really big fingers or are all thumbs J. Oh, it also helps if you want to be more precise in starting the flame.

As you progress through the levels, you will encounter bugs crawling along the rope. Different bugs react differently to the flame, but we are...

Video: Rock Band Blitzes Onto PlayStation Network Tomorrow

50°
86w ago - Project Director Matthew Nordhaus has announced today that Rock Band Blitz is heading to PlayStation Network tomorrow and has shared a new video trailer below.

To quote: There's a moment during game development when you have to let go of your game and release it to the world.

You're sitting in your office, thinking about all of the choices you made, wondering whether people will find it fun, engaging, beautiful, scary, funny. Is your vision going to be realized? And then you take a deep breath and let it go.

How do I know? I'm the Project Director for Rock Band Blitz, and for me that moment came about two months ago. I guided the development of the game over the course of the last year.

The creative, smart, talented team that made Rock Band Blitz can't wait for you to play the game on your console and see, at long last, the result of all of our hard work.

Rock Band Blitz is a downloadable PlayStation Network game. It's the latest entry in the Rock Band family, and rather than using plastic instruments you play with a standard DualShock 3 controller.

At its core, it's still a rhythm beat-match game: you smash notes in time with the music. But in contrast to the full band experience of traditional...

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD is Grinding Onto PSN August 28th

50°
88w ago - Robomodo President Josh Tsui has announced today that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD is grinding onto PSN this August 28th.

To quote: Finally, we can talk about Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD for PS3.

We are so grateful for everyone's patience on this, and we want to make sure you all know that everyone at Robomodo and Activision has been busting their butts to get it out there.

Now we can safely announce that after a lot of hard work, sweating and some crying (just a little), the game will be released August 28th on PSN in North America.

Game development is probably the hardest form of entertainment to put together, and making sure a game plays well across different machines is way tougher than anyone can imagine.

If there was a "Make PS3" button, we would've been tempted to hit that a long time ago. But we wanted to take the time to fix a few things and make sure that the PS3 experience is everything it can be.

The wait has been excruciating for us. We know that the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series has historically been very tightly tied to PlayStation consoles. For me, it was a key game in my career. In 1999 I had just left my first game development job, so I and a few others broke off and started a new studio.

The day we left, we were at...

Video: Persona 4 Arena Bursting Onto PlayStation 3 Today

300°
88w ago - Atlus Manager of Public Relations and Sales Aram Jabbari has announced alongside a video trailer that Persona 4 Arena is bursting onto PlayStation 3 today!

To quote: Persona 4 Arena, the freakishly gifted fighting progeny of ATLUS (makers of Persona and other fine JRPGs) and Arc System Works (makers of Guilty Gear and BlazBlue), is out now in North America for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system.

What exactly do you get when you marry Persona and its rich I-want-to-go-to-there universe of characters and mythology and some masterful fighting game design?

Based on the fact that it's Japan's top arcade fighting game, Japan's bestselling conventional console fighting game of the past four years, and one of North America's most anticipated fighting games in recent memory, it would seem you get one heck of a mix of gaming DNA. It probably has a perfect SAT score and everything.

With a unique fighting engine that deftly incorporates the titular Personas and their breathtaking special powers; a roster of thirteen intricately balanced fighters, a majority of whom hail from the acclaimed Persona 4 (and a few from the equally beloved Persona 3); expertly rendered character sprites and backgrounds; a smorgasbord of features, modes, and content...
