250w ago - To quote HIZLO of HaloMaps.com: This program is pretty much all you're going to need when it comes to modding Halo.
Arsenic's hardcore power ranges from its visually stunning graphics to its built in game and tag editor. You can chose anything within a map such as scenery, weapons, vehicles, etc... and hot swap on the drop of a dime.
Duplication is now made easy with our new point and click system. Any object you wish to move in Arsenic will move and suck to the mesh or structure of your map, this will save you a lot of time when placing stuff in your environment.
Our built in tag editor is amazing and simple to use, for example click on a warthog then chose the tag editor. You will be able to edit a wide range of physics right on the spot, all changes will take effect when you save your map.
Arsenic has a built in Auto Update feature which will be a life savor when future updates are released. All updates will come from halomaps.com so anyone using this program will always have an up-to-date version. The updates will...
252w ago - The latest victim in the fanboys "Metacritic war" is Halo Wars, possibly one of the biggest causalities of the user ratings fanboy wars on Metacritic.
As of February 7th, the metacritic user score currently stands at 0.8/10 with 115 votes.
We also noticed Official Xbox Magazine has a review up, they gave it a 9/10, we're pretty positive a majority of those who gave it such a low user score haven't even played the demo let alone the final game.
We're not sure what console these fanboys came from, and frankly we don't care, it's obvious these scores will impact the buying decisions of a small group, why bother sabotaging what is shaping up to be a great game from a proven studio?
253w ago - Although much has not been revealed about the game, Halo: Orbital Drop Shock Troopers faces stiff resistance in the hands of Killzone 2 which looks to have a more robust formula for reshaping the thought flow of console first person shooters.
Halo 3 stood its ground at a time when it practically had nothing to compete against, but times have changed and with growing expectations it becomes rather difficult for a game like orbital drop shock trooper to be a valued in a sea of shooters that seem to offer a lot more than the tag of a coveted franchise.
ODST places you as a side hero in the timeline which might not be accepted by too many gamers, this is reasoning has been put forward by the reactions players had after being forced to skip playing as the Chief in Halo 2 and being put in the shoes of the Arbiter in every alternative area.
Halo 3 specifically addressed this by reworking the mechanics to focus back exclusively on Master Chief, where perhaps the entire joy of Halo actually lies. A sudden transference of power equations to a much weaker character may not go very well down with the audience.
Since this is a budget title a very tight team is working on the mechanics of the game, while Bungie focuses on bigger projects at hand. This gives ODST a smaller sense of the scale...
