50°
17w ago - Sony's Jawad Ashraf of the European PlayStation Store Team is here with this weeks content updates, which include Octodad, The Walking Dead, JoJo and more outlined below.

To quote: Being a father is tough, but being Octodad is even tougher. Octodad: Daliest Catch tasks you with mastering mundane everyday tasks as (spoiler alert!) an octopus whilst concealing your identity from your human family. You would think life would be a breeze with all those tentacles.

Also out this week are episodes 1 and 2 of The Walking Dead: Season Two, now for PS Vita. Watch Clementine's story unfold as she struggles for survival after the events of Season One. You can also save money by grabbing the Season Pass.

Manga and anime fans look no further than JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle. Tons of characters spanning various arcs of the popular series are thrown into the mix, with gorgeous, colourful visuals and of course, over the top special moves and fabulous battle poses to top it all off.

To round up the week there's new content for Batman: Arkham Origins, free to play SoulCalibur: Lost Swords, card battler Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium Duels and space combat Vita title, Starlight Inception.

Video: 10Tons Ltd Announces King Oddball is Out Tomorrow on PS4

50°
20w ago - 10tons Ltd PR Coordinator Jaakko Maaniemi shared a video below today announcing that King Oddball is out tomorrow on PS4.

To quote: Hello readers - exciting times! It's been pretty frantic bringing King Oddball over to PS4 from PS Vita, but we're really happy to have it as our first PS4 release.

We can't wait to see how the game is received on the big screen.

I've covered the game pretty well on Playstation.Blog in earlier posts, so I'll shed some light on the various special level sets and how they came to be.

First, a quick recap: King Oddball is a skill-based, physics puzzler, where your goal is to clear the screen of enemies with three throwable rocks. So far so ordinary, but in King Oddball, you don't get to fling the rocks any way you please.

The King swings a rock back and forth like a pendulum, and the rock is released when you hit X. Gravity takes over, and you hit your target if your timing was good.

Accurate timing takes you only so far though, because soon enough you need to be strategizing about where the rock will bounce after the first, second, and even third impact. Tip: it's often good to start from the topmost targets, as the rock will fall down eventually,...

Tribute Games Announces Mercenary Kings is Out Today on PS4

250°
21w ago - Tribute Games Writer Yannick Belzil announced that Mercenary Kings PS4 is out today on PlayStation 4 with details below.

To quote: Here it is! The most anticipated day of 2014 from all of us at Tribute Games: the launch of Mercenary Kings on PS4!

It's a thrill for us to finally share this labor of love (and explosions, tanks, maniacal warlords...) with all of you. Mercenary Kings air drops you into a colorful world of stylized, cartoonish warfare.

When the Cybernetic Loyalist Active Weapon clan (CLAW) steals the Mandrake Formula, capable of reshaping any living thing into a dangerous weapon, King and Empress are sent in to retrieve it. CLAW's leader, Commander Byron Baron - aided with his dog Alpha and a cloned army of miscreants - controls the entire laboratory base of Mandragora Island and seeks to make it the birthplace of a new, terrifying age.

Assisted by their own crew of experts, the Kings take on a multitude of missions where they must slice and blast their way through Baron's band of bad guys, retrieve the formula, and save global peace.

Mercenary Kings might feel like something from the 16-bit past, but - like the Kings' weapons - it's crafted with brand new pieces into an explosive, modern package. Vanquished enemies drop a variety of materials that...
