69w ago - Guerrilla Games Game Director Steven Ter Heide posted up a video today showcasing conversations with PS4 creators of Killzone: Shadow Fall on PlayStation 4.

To quote: With Killzone Shadow Fall, we are part of an exciting line up of launch titles for PS4. This is both daunting and exciting, but a good feeling to have!

Since the game's announcement earlier this year at the PlayStation Meeting 2013, we have been hard at work on Killzone Shadow Fall.

At the event, we were able to give you a brief glimpse of the direction we are taking the game with live on-stage gameplay.

The demonstration focused on setting up the new conflict between the two warring factions that now occupy the same world, we are very much looking forward to sharing more of the exciting new gameplay opportunities soon.

Today we are happy to show you a developer diary as part of PlayStation's Conversations with Creators. In this video, we briefly talk about what it means to us to be a launch title on this new platform.

Killzone: Shadow Fall is scheduled for a Holiday 2013 release, and will be available exclusively on PS4.

Video: Killzone: Mercenary - Cash is King on PlayStation Vita

80w ago - Sony Social Media Manager Sid Shuman shared a video below today spotlighting Killzone: Mercenary where he states cash is king on PlayStation Vita.

To quote: Not long ago the US and European press got its first hands-on experiences with Killzone: Mercenary, Guerrilla Games Cambridge's upcoming PS Vita shooter. Despite gracing Vita's portable screen, the team behind Mercenary is hellbent on providing a full FPS experience with all the trimmings.

Come September, you'll get a full nine-mission story-driven campaign, an eight-player competitive multiplayer mode, and a collection of bonus challenge missions.

Watch our new video to get the inside story straight from Art Director Tom Jones.

Much has already been said concerning Killzone: Mercenary's graphical fidelity, but I'll add my voice to the choir: This is one fine, fine-looking game. Because Mercenary runs on a modified version of the Killzone 3 rendering engine, you'll see modern niceties such as volumetric lighting and smoke, high-res environment textures, gleaming metal and realistic-looking shadows.

None of this would be out of place for a modern PS3 shooter, but portable gaming rarely sees this level of extreme graphical detail....

83w ago - Guerrilla Games Senior Producer Steven Ter Heide has announced that Killzone: Shadow Fall is coming for PlayStation 4 / PS4 with a video trailer below!

To quote: Today we are happy we can finally show you what we have been working on.

It has been an amazing journey for us so far, being offered the opportunity to be a launch title for the new PlayStation, and the subsequent mild panic to figure out how to best handle all of that.

But being able to now share it with you is both a scary and proud moment. We are hoping you will like what we have created, and are happy to present you with the first glimpse of Killzone Shadow Fall.

The piece of live gameplay we presented at the PlayStation Meeting 2013 shows you a new world, a new situation and a new hero.

The game is set in a near future, thirty years after the events of Killzone 3. The world is a very different place; two rival factions known as the Helghast and the Vektans live side by side in a futuristic city, divided by a vast wall.

Tensions are high, and the cold war they are embroiled in is about to go hot. In the midst of this all stands a Shadow Marshal, you. The most special of the special forces, tasked with maintaining...

Video: GamesCom 2012 Trailer for Killzone: Mercenary on PS Vita

50°
110w ago - Guerrilla Games Managing Director Hermen Hulst has shared a new video trailer today at GamesCom 2012 for Killzone: Mercenary on the PS Vita handheld console!

To quote: Today we're really excited to present the first official gameplay trailer for Killzone: Mercenary at Gamescom.

Designed specifically for the PlayStation Vita platform, Killzone: Mercenary is a first-person shooter that makes full use of the device's graphical and input capabilities.

It was built on the same powerful engine as Killzone 3, and it enhances the familiar twin-stick FPS control scheme with touch pad functionality for interesting new gameplay possibilities.

With Killzone: Mercenary, we want to offer PlayStation Vita owners a fresh perspective on the brutal conflict between ISA and Helghast - literally.

For the first time in a Killzone campaign, you'll be fighting alongside Helghast forces as well as ISA specialists, carrying out missions that the regular soldiers just won't - or can't.

As a mercenary, you're free to decide which tactics and loadouts you'll use to fulfill your contract; your employers will reward you with state-of-the-art weaponry and cold, hard cash as long as you get the job done. But what is the price of that freedom - and will you discover it before...
