76w ago - Housemarque Games Designer Petsku has announced that Dead Nation: Road of Devastation is getting an Arcade Expansion Pack today!
To quote: We're excited to announce a brand new game mode for Road of Devastation (the expansion pack to Dead Nation) called Arcade, which is a brand new way to experience Road of Devastation!
Everyone who's taken the Road knows of the Egogate experiment - to find the perfect zombie killer who can survive longest against ever-increasing odds (the fallen heroes' DNA are allegedly used to clone and breed the perfect soldier).
The new Arcade mode may actually see you survive the ordeal and get out alive! You can choose your difficulty level, and checkpoints will revive (or is that clone?) you.
Completing Arcade mode on different difficulty levels will also unlock new Road of Devastation concept art.
If you've never experienced Road of Devastation before, now's the perfect time! Think you've got what it takes to get out alive? Download Arcade mode today and find out!
78w ago - Sony Associate Producer Shaun Wharton has confirmed that PlayStation Vita owners will have access to augmented reality puzzle game PulzAR beginning today with details below!
To quote: We're very excited to announce the release of PulzAR today, available on PSN for $1.99. In case you've missed our past PulzAR blog posts, here's a word from the game's lead designer to usher in today's release.
I'm Neall Jones, Lead Designer for the next great addition to the PS Vita AR games, PulzAR.
So, what's PulzAR all about then? Well the Earth is in grave danger, somewhere just beyond our planet's outer atmosphere five giant asteroids are heading on a deadly collision course with the planet.
It's up to you, the player, to command a network of laser powered rockets to try and blast the asteroids into a harmless meteor shower before they hit the Earth.
The first Play Card placed is used as the Arena card and draws the level out, then the puzzles use up to 5 Play Cards to place the three types of objects in the game; Reflectors, Splitters and Color Filters.
There have been other laser and light based games before, but none of them have let you see the game world and play it on your table top, something that can only be done with the PS Vita.

To quote: Hi everyone! My name is Manrique Brenes and I'm the senior director of the consumer electronics group at Skype.
We've very happy to announce that the Skype Video and Voice calling app for PS Vita will be available later today on PlayStation Store.
Starting later today, you can enjoy free Skype calls on PS Vita. You'll be able to keep in touch with gamers around the globe while you're on the go as Skype is available for both the 3G/Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi models.
The Skype app includes free Skype-to-Skype voice calling, as well as high-quality video calling that utilizes PS Vita's front and rear cameras.
The Skype app on PS Vita runs in "background mode" while you're gaming or using other applications* – meaning you have the capability to "pause" a game, conduct a call and then return to your previous activity – so you never miss a call. Plus, with a little Skype credit you can make low-cost calls to landlines and mobile directly from your PS Vita.
As you know, PS Vita is equipped with a 5" OLED touchscreen, dual analog sticks, precise rear...

141w ago - Insomniac Games Senior Community Manager James Stevenson has revealed today that Resistance 3 for PS3 will be getting PlayStation Move, Sharp Shooter and Stereoscopic 3D support!
To quote: Today we are finally able reveal, due to overwhelming community demand, that Resistance 3 will support Stereoscopic 3DTV.
Furthermore, those of you who are enjoying the precision of the PlayStation Move motion controller with your copies of Killzone 3 and the SOCOM 4 Beta will be delighted to know that Resistance 3 will also support PlayStation Move and the sharp shooter.
After Killzone 3 launched, we heard a massive amount of positive feedback, and were inundated with requests to support both PlayStation Move and sharp shooter. So we're glad to be able to finally confirm the news!
As you can see, our founder Ted Price and Resistance 3 Creative Director Marcus Smith are so pumped that they found 3D glasses and grabbed sharp shooters to pose for a photo (though we had to remind them that they need the cool high-tech stereoscopic 3D glasses to actually play, not those old "red-blue" ones).
Resistance 3 hits your PS3 and 3D TV on September 6th, so have your sharp shooter ready! In the meantime, if you want to hear about all the latest happenings at our community day, follow...
