2w ago - Spiders Studio Project Manager Walid Miled revealed a fresh new combat trailer for Bound by Flame on PS4 today!

To quote: Hello, readers! This is Walid, producer at Spiders Studio. I'm very proud to tell you about Spiders' latest game, and our first RPG for PS4, Bound by Flame. We plan to launch on May 9th for PS3 and PS4.

Today, we decided we'd focus a little more on the game's combat and show off some PS4 footage for the first time.

This video is brand new and 100% pure gameplay - nothing pre-rendered - and should give you a little taste of the combat before we debut an epic combat trailer that covers all the combat mechanics and fighting styles.

You'll catch a glimpse of all the possibilities Bound by Flame offers in combat: Stealth, crossbow, fireballs, and a two-handed axe and hammer.

In Bound by Flame, the combat system lets you instantly switch between three stances (Fighter, Ranger, and Pyromancer), allowing you to adapt to the enemy you're facing on the fly.

We also showcase some of the creatures you'll be fighting. There's a lot of them out there, and each has its own characteristics and tendencies in combat.

2w ago - Beatshapers Founder and CEO Alexey Menshikov revealed today alongside a video trailer that Z-Run is coming to PlayStation Vita this May.

To quote: Hello there! This is Alexey Menshikov from Beatshapers, and we're proudly announcing Z-Run for PS Vita, coming to PlayStation Store this May.

We moved back the launch date since last summer's announcement in order to make our game bigger and better. Our previous games on PS Vita include StarDrone Extreme, BreakQuest, Furmins, and dozens of PSP minis - along with the recently announced PS4 title, Ready to Run.

Today, we're presenting a gameplay tutorial trailer with the awesome song "You Better Run," made especially for the game by The Spin Wires band.

The world has been overrun by flesh-hungry zombies, and you're stranded in the middle of a post-apocalyptic city with no way out. Are you going to just stand there and get eaten, and turn into a brainless creature, too? Not likely.

In Z-Run, you never stand still. Anyone who does winds up dead. Stay on your toes if you want to stay alive. The city is a mess after the zombie apocalypse struck, so you need to be agile as well as fast while you attempt to sprint through the crowds of undead assailants....

Video: High Pressure: New SOMA PS4 Trailer on PlayStation 4

2w ago - Frictional Games Creative Director Thomas Grip posted up a new PS4 trailer video showcasing SOMA on PlayStation 4 dubbed High Pressure today.

To quote: It's time to reveal a secret about our upcoming horror game, SOMA. Before reading any further, take a look at this trailer:

That's right, our next game will be set deep below the water's surface - at the bottom of the sea. It was a decision which came very swiftly; Jens (co-founder of Frictional Games) and I sort of decided it on whim during a meet-up.

But it's something that had been brewing inside us for a long time. Most of our earth is covered in ocean, and yet it's something that we know very little about. It is an incredibly hostile environment filled with strange creatures, and it is right on our door step.

Most of the ocean is devoid of sunlight and inhospitable to us. The differences in pressure between the surface and even a modest depth of 100 meters is enough to turn a human into mush. That pressure, that depth, is nothing compared to the true ocean deeps.

And as if this isn't enough, the creatures living there seem like they're from another world. Gigantic squid, luminescent fish and creatures that are all mouths and teeth...

Video: Ragnarok Odyssey ACE is Out Today for PS3 and PS Vita

2w ago - XSEED Games Localization Specialist Ryan Graff posted up a video announcing that Ragnarok Odyssey ACE is out today for PS3 and PS Vita platforms.

To quote: Ragnarok Odyssey ACE on PS3 and PS Vita is a game about slaying giants, and now that we're finally at launch, some of us feel like we've fought one ourselves!

Not just because it's a large game, although it certainly is. ACE is a massively expanded version of the original Ragnarok Odyssey, with enough new content to make it about twice the size this time around.

The most prominent new feature is a 400-story tower, with enough monsters and new story content to fill it; you'll see that once you reach the original game's ending, which is now the new game's midpoint. Throughout the game, you'll also discover new character skills, new weapon types, new NPC sidekicks, and a slew of other new features and conveniences.

ACE is the first Ragnarok Odyssey game to appear on PS3 as well as PSVita, with readily available cross play (for up to four players) and cross saving between the two.

The game also allows players to import their save data from the original Ragnarok Odyssey, bringing over their character's name, appearance, and cards (except...

Video: Sony PlayStation Still Loves Devs - 1,000 Self-Publishers

3w ago - Sony Vice President of Developer and Publisher Relations Adam Boyes announced that PlayStation still loves devs and is now 1,000 self-publishers strong with a video below!

To quote: PS4 has been met with an amazing amount of enthusiasm and excitement from both gamers and developers alike since its launch back in November, and the 6 million gamers who have already bought PS4 have really embraced this next-generation gaming experience.

We've got more than 100 games scheduled to launch on PS4 this year alone, including Watch_Dogs, The Elder Scrolls Online, Destiny, and The Order: 1886.

That amazing lineup is made possible by the development community, who have been hard at work with our hardware, already pushing it to do things that we never expected. Recently we reached a significant milestone with more than 1,000 developers licensed globally to self-publish on our platforms, 200 of those licensed in North America since PS4 was unveiled in February 2013.

A year ago at the Game Developers Conference, we kicked our support for independent developers into high-gear....
