158w ago - Online Community Specialist Locust_Star has shared a video announcement today showcasing LittleBigPlanet coming to PlayStation Home alongside news of a Qore Event and Machinima contest.
To quote: Hot on the heels of this week's massive LittleBigPlanet 2 announcement, we here on the PlayStation Home team are proud to unveil two - you heard me, TWO - new spaces dedicated to this celebrated franchise.
True to the "Play.Create.Share." mantra, these brand new LittleBigPlanet spaces provide the perfect locations for users to indulge in their affinity for all things LittleBigPlanet, from creating custom content to playing addictive games to finding new friends to launch into multiplayer sessions of LittleBigPlanet for your PS3.
Start with the King's Snap Happy Photo Challenge in the LittleBigPlanet PlayGround space - find the target, snap the perfect shot, and unlock some exclusive rewards. Next, team up with your friends to create custom wallpapers in the Creator mini-game, where you can build, stick, place, and shoot the perfect XMB backdrop.
Finally, you can nurture your inner sharpshooter at the LittleBigDerby mini-game, which recalls the carnival games of yesteryear, albeit in a patented LittleBigPlanet fashion.
161w ago - Today Community Senior Manager Seth Killian has announced news of a Super Street Fighter IV event this Friday hosted by Sony in conjunction with Capcom.
To quote: For those who don't know, we call these things "Fight Clubs" and the concept is pretty simple.
We find an underground location (sometimes literally underground, sometimes just an abandoned warehouse, sometimes a sneaker shop, but you get the idea), and drop a bunch of Street Fighter games in there, then let people throw down in arcade-style, face-to-face combat.
We spice it up with some totally exclusive shirt giveaways, exclusive artwork and giftbags, and maybe... just maybe, some extra epic events.
The party is going down this Friday, April 23rd, from 8pm to midnight, in Los Angeles, CA (in the Silver Lake neighborhood).
We'll post the exact address on Thursday, so stay tuned, but here's a little taste...
