Assassin's Creed Liberation HD is Coming on January 14th to PSN

50°
57w ago - Ubisoft Sofia Producer Momchil Valentinov Gindyanov announced today that Assassin's Creed Liberation HD is coming on January 14th, 2013 to PlayStation Store / PSN.

To quote: Greetings, PlayStation Assassins! We're very excited to announce that Assassin's Creed Liberation HD will be coming to PS3 via PlayStation Store on January 14th.

When we set out to do Liberation HD, our objective was simple: improve upon what worked on the Vita and adapt the gameplay and missions to be the most fun and enjoyable they could be. As a result, each mission has been reworked in order to improve its pacing, and the challenge it poses to the player.

Liberation is set in New Orleans between 1765 and 1780, in the period between the end of the French and Indian War, up to the middle of the American Revolution. Liberation tells the story of Aveline; a female Assassin of mixed French and African heritage. Brought up in a world of privilege and contrasts, Aveline becomes a strong-willed woman and an avid opponent of slavery.

Recruited to the Assassins by an escaped slave, Aveline joins the struggle against the Templars as they try to take control of New Orleans following France's handover of the city to Spain. Striking hard...

To quote: After staggering demand, we're extremely pleased to announce that Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD - originally released last year on PS Vita - is set to arrive on PSN as a digital download in beautifully re-mastered HD!

Starring our first ever female playable assassin, Aveline de Grandpré, Assassin's Creed III: Liberation has received a comprehensive overhaul in preparation for its debut on PS3.

The groundbreaking AnvilNext engine returns to bring the steamy Louisiana bayou and mystical Mayan ruins to life with its unique tree navigation system, detailed physics simulation, and smooth animation.

Liberation HD capitalizes on the move to more powerful hardware in every possible way, with improved graphics, re-mastered music and new sound effects, and added gameplay bonuses like new missions!

Jaywalkers Interactive: Kick & Fennick Launches on PS Vita in 2014

50°
66w ago - Jaywalkers Interactive Co-Founders Vincent Bonefaas and Laurens Bruins announced today that Kick & Fennick launches on PS Vita in 2014.

To quote: We didn't count, but we must have saved the world thousands of times. Like many of us, we spent most of our childhood being superheroes dressed in cardboard armor with a towel around our neck, having the most amazing and epic adventures.

Thankfully, now that we're adults *cough*, video games still allow us to immerse ourselves in imaginary worlds, without looking like fools throwing pinecone grenades at each other. But this image of us as kids, running around the woods with a big stick, is thoroughly stuck in our minds.

This is where the idea for Kick & Fennick originated, remembering the fun we had saving the world, and our friends, with our massive stick weapons.

There are no complications as a kid, but if a real ten-year old boy would fire one of our imaginary super guns, he would surely launch himself through the air just from the weapon's recoil... which would be pretty damn cool!

We love big, cinematic game experiences. We're just a two-man team, but we couldn't have Kick just jumping around a bit using his weapon.

No, he needs to jump across huge skyscrapers, breaking through walls...
