Wild Sheep Introduces PS4 Exclusive WiLD Coming to PlayStation 4

50°
3w ago - Wild Sheep founder Michel Ancel officially introduced PS4 exclusive WiLD coming to PlayStation 4 today at Gamescom 2014.

Below are the details, to quote: Hello! My name is Michel Ancel, you might know me best as the creator of the Rayman series, and Beyond Good & Evil for Ubisoft.

I co-founded a new independent game studio in Montpellier, France along with a bunch of very talented guys and gals. We call ourselves Wild Sheep and together we are working on an exciting new game called... WiLD (working title).

When we started working on WiLD we wanted to make sure that we would have fun playing our own game even after months and months of development! This is the reason why the world of WiLD is the size of Europe, with dynamic weather and seasons, and filled with interactive opportunities that feel endless.

Every time you play you'll discover new things, even in the same place as before. But... the best feature came from our prototyping phase when we started playing as wolves, horses, sheep and... even trout! So we decided that in WiLD every creature should be playable, even the giant and dangerous ones!

All these features combined, open so many new gameplay situations, especially when playing online. How you approach the game is up to you, what you do and even...

XDev Announces Hustle Kings is Coming Soon to PlayStation 4

3w ago - XDev Associate Producer Neil McPhillips announced today that Hustle Kings is coming soon to PlayStation 4 with details below.

To quote: We're excited to be able to announce the return of [Register or Login to view links] as it makes its way to PS4.

For the PS4 release of Hustle Kings we wanted to try something new to freshen up the franchise and we really wanted to focus the game to be a better online experience. With those goals in mind we've created a whole new structure for the game and have gone to work adding new PS4 exclusive features and touches.

First things first though, to ensure there was a large online community and lots of people available for matches we made the game downloadable for free so everyone with a PS4 can get it.

We've done this by creating a core package that includes all the basics you need to enjoy the game, we have a practice mode to get you started, a career mode to put you through your paces and earn you some starting money and the new League mode where you can compete online and rise through the online tiers.

In the League everyone starts out at the bottom and must earn their way to the top, access to higher play tiers comes from winning games and reaching career cash goals, the higher the tier...

Video: Sony Announces Tearaway Unfolded is Coming to PS4

50°
3w ago - Sony Community Manager James Spafford announced today that Tearaway Unfolded is coming to PS4 complete with a PlayStation 4 video trailer below.

To quote: We've got a very special message for you all: we are bringing the magical papery world of [Register or Login to view links] to PlayStation 4!

Now, if you know anything about Tearaway, your first thoughts on hearing that might be: "but that's just plain impossible, yo!" and you'd be right! A straight port would be impossible, but we were super keen for Tearaway to make the jump to PS4 and we're not the kind of folks to let something like the impossible get in our way!

So we started jamming and experimenting, and the result is Tearaway Unfolded - an expanded retelling of the original game, adapted for PS4, and rebuilt from the ground up to use all the unique features of the Dualshock 4, and with a bigger prettier world running at 1080p and targeting 60fps to boot.

The original Tearaway was a little papery world held entirely in your hands, and we used all the features of the PS Vita to deliver an experience that was as life-like and also fourth-wall-breaking as possible....

Experience Journey on PS4

Hi everyone, this is Jenova Chen, President and Creative Director of [Register or Login to view links]. It's been quite a ride seeing how far Journey has come in the two and a half years since its launch on PlayStation 3.

Thanks to the many referrals of our players over the years, we've seen a steady flow of new players discovering the game and a community of veterans helping them along the way. Many players who bought a PS4 wrote us wondering if they will be able to experience Journey one day.

Today we are happy to share that a whole new generation of players will experience the wonder of Journey when it comes to PlayStation 4 later this year.

Thanks...

3w ago - Grip Games CEO Jakub Mikyska posted up a video today announcing that Unmechanical: Extended Edition is coming to PS4, PS3 and PS Vita platforms.

To quote: Hi everyone! This is Jakub from Grip Games, the team that brought you The Impossible Game and the upcoming Jet Car Stunts.

It is my pleasure to be finally able to tell you about our next great project that we are working on right now - Unmechanical: Extended Edition for PS3, PS4 and PS Vita.

Unmechanical, originally made by Talawa Games and Teotl Studios for PC, is a gorgeous puzzle platformer that won numerous awards for its visual design and, even more importantly, won the hearts of players all around the world. It now finally comes to the PSN in an extended edition that brings new puzzles and story, published by Grip Games.

If you have never heard of Unmechanical before, it may remind you of some of the classic games in the genre, like Limbo, Machinarium or the Oddworld series. You control a little flying robot that has been kidnapped into a strange underground complex.

In order to get out, you will have to solve the mystery of this strangely un-mechanical place and also solve numerous puzzles along the way. See the trailer to...
