Video: Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag: PS3 / PS4 Stealth Details

100°
71w ago - Ubisoft Community Developer Gabriel Graziani posted up a video today spotlighting Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag for both PS3 and PS4 platforms complete with Stealth details below.

To quote: Game Director Ashraf Ismail takes you on a stealthy tour through underwater caverns and the Spanish city of Havana in Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag.

In the following video, you'll get a tiny glimpse of the stealthy new skills we've included in Black Flag, which enable Edward Kenway to slip in and out of assassination contracts while causing minimal commotion.

Sneaking silently is nearly as important to Edward's successful execution of assassination contracts as his skill with his dual cutlasses (not to mention the extra money you can earn from a Stealth Bonus). Consequently, we've provided a variety of new mechanics to help Edward remain out-of-site and off-the-radar, like:

• Updated Eagle Vision - enables tagging of enemies and targets so you can see them through walls.
• Hiding door - a new hiding spot for quickly taking out guards while also hiding the body.
• Berserk Blowpipe Darts - diverts attention by causing an enemy to attack anything nearby, like fellow guards!

Video: Vengeance is Yours Today in Call of Duty: Black Ops II on PS3

73w ago - Activision Community Manager Dan Amrich made available a video today announcing that Vengeance is here for Call of Duty: Black Ops II on PS3.

To quote: One of the reasons I keep coming back to Call of Duty is the fast action - and the action is fastest on maps that really encourage interaction.

When you know all the players are packed tightly together - when every corner you turn can lead to a high-caliber engagement - that's when the game is the most fun for me.

And I think it's why maps like Studio, Hijacked, and Nuketown 2025 are voted up so frequently in multiplayer lobbies.

The four multiplayer maps in the latest Call of Duty: Black Ops II DLC collection, Vengeance, were designed for players like me - folks who don't want to run around forever before they get someone in their sights.

That cuts both ways: I know when I get caught in someone else's sights, it won't be long before I'm back in the action. That's certainly true on Cove, which strands players on a small tropical island - a beautiful place for a vacation, if the vacation didn't look like it might last forever.

With just natural rock formations for cover, the debris of a recent plane crash, and endless ocean surrounding you on all sides, there's no avoiding...

Black Ops II Uprising Out Today: Mob of the Dead, 4 New Maps

250°
84w ago - Activision Community Manager Dan Amrich announced that Black Ops II Uprising is out today alongside 4 new Mob of the Dead maps with details and a video trailer below.

To quote: How often in life do you get a second chance? If you're an online Call of Duty player, well, that's pretty simple - you get one every time you press Square to respawn.

But the concepts of return, reinvigoration, and redemption all play into Uprising, the second map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops II, which is available today on PlayStation Network.

To start, Uprising features four new maps for Black Ops II multiplayer matches:

Vertigo, the top of a Tacitus mega-structure that's so tall, it breaks the cloud layer; Magma, a small Japanese village that has been engulfed by the lava of a nearby erupting volcano; Encore, the performance stage and surrounding grounds following a London music festival; and Studio, a re-imagining of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Firing Range, offering chaotic combat over several movie sets on a Hollywood backlot.

Studio is a particular point of pride here, as it's a re-imagining of Firing Range, which fans of the original Black Ops still eagerly choose in multiplayer lobbies. Its compact design and varied lines of sight - sniper perches, blind corners, tight...

Video: New Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Gameplay Trailer Out

50°
84w ago - Ubisoft Community Developer Gabriel Graziani has made available a new Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag gameplay trailer video today which takes it to the high seas!

Below are the details, to quote: Edward Kenway set out to earn his fortune in the West Indies, but you'll see first-hand how he (like so many other sailors of his day) turned to a much more brutal, ruthless and lucrative life in Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag.

We're very pleased to deliver yet another glimpse into this world and further define our vision of The Golden Age of Pirates with this new gameplay trailer!

Captain Edward Kenway is a complicated guy with simple objectives: get money, honor the crew and live a life unbound by the laws of remote sovereigns. His story will take you all around the Caribbean, plundering, pillaging and generally leaving a wake of mayhem behind you.

But there is also a larger tale involving Edward's contemporaries, and despite their commonly-known roles as thieves and brigands of the sea, there were pirates of the age who worked to create a truly free society. Edward will become embroiled in their struggle, and that of a much more inconspicuous and clandestine group...

As you can see from the...

Video: Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag Trailer: Golden Age of Piracy

50°
85w ago - Ubisoft Community Developer Gabriel Graziani posted up a new video trailer today spotlighting Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag and the golden age of piracy below.

To quote: Every Assassin's Creed game is based in an actual historical setting, with a sense of place and time that provides the backdrop to amazing adventure fraught with peril and political intrigue.

The setting for Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag is no different! Contrary to popular belief, pirates didn't suddenly decide to become a scourge of the seas out of the clear blue sky.

The emergence of piracy was the result of decades of violent and brutal privateering that was not only sanctioned, but also bankrolled by warring naval powers of a size and scope never known before. All of this will have already happened in AC4, so we thought it would be a good idea to bring you up to speed.

The wild, nearly lawless and verdant islands of the West Indies and the towering ships that ruled them present some of the most unique and exciting stories we'd ever encountered, so we couldn't wait to show them to you in AC4.

Behind the tales you've heard, lurking in the shadows of history, the Assassins are always working to ensure that people...
