155w ago - PlayStation Store Senior Manager Grace Chen has announced today that starting tomorrow SNK titles will be on sale for PlayStation Plus alongside a SEGA holiday sale, as follows:
As the holidays inch closer, the PlayStation Store decided to partner with two publishers who shaped many gamers' youths -SNK and SEGA.
Both have released some of most noteworthy titles of the 1990s, including Sonic the Hedgehog and King of Fighters. SEGA has done a great job of bringing some of their most popular titles along with revitalizing one of our favorite blue hedgehogs and now SNK is following in their footsteps.
As an early holiday gift, both of these publishers will be offering sales on a handful of great PSN titles. SNK will be offering PlayStation Plus subscribers a 20% discount on all SNK games when they release in tomorrow's PlayStation Store update.
Also, SEGA will be holding a sale that includes some of their newer releases, such as Valkyria Chronicles 2, Phantasy Star Portable 2, and the re-release of Sonic Adventure. All these items can be found in the "Featured Publishers" category on the games section of the PlayStation Store. See the full list below:
165w ago - Public Relations Manager Melissa Dolan has shared a video announcement that the Invizimals search begins today using the PSP's new camera.
To quote: I want to let you know Invizimals for the PSP system is available in stores beginning today AND it comes bundled with our new camera! This is the first camera-based PSP game for North America.
Imagine being able to search for invisible animals but you can only do it with your PSP system. Just point the camera to locate virtual creatures anywhere- behind sofas, into corners, and under bushes and they will pop up on your PSP system screen.
With a magical trap (rectangular shaped card also included with the game), you interact with the monsters by grabbing, tickling and luring them into your collection. With over 120 creatures to capture, indulge in a single player game of magical discovery or enjoy multiplayer action online.
You can battle by using special moves such as blowing onto the camera to create a hurricane; shaking the PSP system to start an earthquake, or casting a shadow over the battlefield to deploy a lightning strike. You can also take pictures of your monster collection and trade online with friends.
This is a fun one for PSP fans! We'd like to thank...
167w ago - While PSN cards have been available at retailers for some time now, JoyStiq.com (linked above) reports today that it appears Sony is now offering PlayStation Plus cards at Target as well.
To quote: "You'll soon have an easy way to give the gift of Hulu Plus eligibility and discounts on random PSN games.
Tipster BlindNoir photographed a PlayStation Plus access card found at a Target store, redeemable for one year of membership to the premium service.
Plans for these cards were first (casually) revealed by Sony's Susan Panico in June.
Of course, you could just buy a PSN retail card and use that to pay for a Plus membership (or anything else), but this move gives the fledgling PlayStation Plus more visibility during the holiday shopping season."
To quote, roughly translated from Spanish to English: "Well more information from the recent work done by the HadesTeam and Calimba, this time show photos of the connection and also how Windows shows the drive contents PlayStation 3.
