26w ago - Black Forest Games Community Manager Dietrich Limper announced that Giana Sisters: Twisted Dream arrives on PSN this month.
Below are the details, to quote: Hello everybody! The screenshot you can see above is from Giana Sisters: Twisted Dream, coming to PlayStation 3 later this month.
It was developed here at our relatively new development studio Black Forest Games. It was also completed with the help of Kickstarter backers, who donated enough money to finish the project. Black Forest Games was the first German independent developer who managed to successfully run such a campaign!
Now you might say, "Black Forest Games? Never heard of that company!" No problem! Let me introduce you to our fine little organization.
Once upon a time there was a game studio called Spellbound Entertainment who created successful titles like Desperados, Airline Tycoon and Robin Hood - just to name a few.
Unfortunately the company went under in 2011 and had to close its doors - a rather sad end of an era. After the dust settled, the core Spellbound team gathered strength and founded Black Forest Games, bringing with them as many team members as they could.
They opened the office doors again in 2012 in the small town...

31w ago - Insomniac Games Community Lead James Stevenson shared a new Fuse trailer confirming that the demo lights up PSN on Tuesday.
Below are the details, to quote: We've been working on Fuse, our first new console game IP since Resistance: Fall of Man, for several years now. The wait is almost over - Fuse launches May 28th on PlayStation 3. For an early taste of Fuse, grab the demo - it launches on PSN next Tuesday.
The demo will allow you to experience lethal teamwork with up to three friends online (or 2-player split-screen). Overstrike 9 has tracked the stolen Fuse source to a remote Raven base in Pakistan's snowy Karakoram Mountains.
The team must stop rogue group Raven from carrying out its horrific plan to form a new world order. The section of the demo comes from around the halfway point of the game, so we've powered up the four characters a bit to give you a sample of all their capabilities (and you can level them up further!)
Now, some of you may be asking, what is this game? We'd like to say Fuse is what you'd get if you took the dry humor and lethal teamwork from Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and combined it with the alien weaponry from District 9.
It's a uniquely Insomniac universe, one where villains occupy strongholds in exotic locations...
32w ago - Project Coordinator Takeshi Yamanaka announced today that Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R arrives on PS Vita tomorrow!
Below are the details, to quote: It was love at first sight. This is my story of how the PS Vita version of Guilty Gear game to life, and why I thought PS Vita and Guilty Gear were a match made in heaven.
When I first opened the the dev unit for the PS Vita, I was seduced by the screen's beauty: high resolution, saturated colors, and the quick response time all contributed to my next thought: "I'm sure 2D fighting games would look beautiful on this baby."
That was when it all began. At the time I was the coordinator and director of BlazBlue, if only by title, so I wasn't directly involved in the development of the PS Vita version; nevertheless, I heard stories from our dev teams and needless to say, they, too were impressed with Vita's performance.
The idea of bringing Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus to the Vita was tossed around during meetings and in the office, but the general consensus of our top brass was that it wouldn't have much of an impact, and the idea was shelved.
I think it was in Spring of 2012, a little while after Guilty Gear on the Vita was shelved. Our Arcade release of the game underwent major balance changes, (+R) at which...
