195w ago - The Tokyo Game Show is the biggest gaming convention in Japan. Many Japanese companies use it as an opportunity it to give the latest updates on their video games in addition to making new game announcements.
Capcom is already teasing what they will be revealing at Tokyo Game Show 2009, to quote:
"Hard at work on Tokyo Game Show plans. Several new games to be announced in Japan, lots of new content for LP2, TvC, DR2. Exciting!"
So it looks like they may be unveiling new games at the convention in addition to showing new content for Dead Rising 2, Lost Planet 2 and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.
The Tokyo Game Show 2009 will be held from September 24 to the 27.
202w ago - Update: David Jaffe has just confirmed via Twitter that his upcoming video game is not a new Twisted Metal, to quote: "By the way, I WISH we were making a new Twisted Metal. Making game you've already worked on is tons easier cuz your core blueprint is."
Recently Eat, Sleep, Play boss David Jaffe has tweeted that his new game is to be announced "soon".
That's despite the developer previously saying he'd "love" to announce it at E3 2010.
But is it Twisted Metal? Probably. We should know before too long, from the sound of it.
To quote: "BUT so you know, I got nothing to do with GOD OF WAR 3... but please buy our new game, to be announced soon! " - djaffe
207w ago - With E3 2009 being over, some are left wondering why Sony didn't announce a PS3 price cut as speculated through this year's conference.
Sony answered during a recent interview with Kotaku, as follows:
Despite expectations that Sony would lower the price of the PS3 at E3, the company announced no price drop at the big show. We asked why.
"From our perspective, this show is all about content," Sony's head of PlayStation marketing in the U.S., Peter Dille, told Kotaku in an interview yesterday. "We believe that our content story is unrivaled.
It's really a relentless line-up of great exclusive games that will speak volumes to the value inherent in the PS3. Obviously people come to E3 expecting all sorts of announces.
We've got a plan in place for the platform. A price drop at the show wasn't part of it."
211w ago - SCEE have announced that Ghostbusters: The Game will be exclusive to the PLAYSTATION 3 and PlayStation 2 for a timed period.
SCEE will publish the PS3, PS2 and PSP versions of the game, but Atari insist that the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii versions are not canned and will still come out at a later date.
To quote: Incase you dont know, Ghostbusters was a Columbia Movie Studios IP and Columbia is owned by Sony Pictures. Anyways, the game will be out on June 19th, the same week the Blu-ray version of Ghostbusters comes out, marking the 25th anniversary of the movie.
But no confirmation has been made yet if it's the same for SCEA or SCEJ, but we've asked Sony and Atari for comment.

219w ago - Today Tecmo has announced they will debut a new game on Tuesday March 24th by sending out e-mails to the press to attend an event on that day.
The game will be shown at the invite-only event taking place at a PlayStation Store in San Francisco over in the US at 3PM. That is a seven hour difference between GMT, so people in UK should expect the reveal at 10PM that night.
Apparently, the announcement will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A with the producer/director of the game, so expect a few articles to appear on certain sites, particularly the US based ones, detailing the game soon after the showing.
No hint as to what the game will be as of yet, but with the reveal taking place in a PlayStation Store you can expect it to be a Sony platform exclusive.
