Red Alert 3 for PS3 - Demo, DLC, and Details Available

100°
288w ago - Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Ultimate Edition Senior Development Director David Seeholzer unveiled the following Red Alert 3 PS3 details today via PS Blog:

Red Alert 3: Ultimate Edition promises to be the premier RTS on PS3 with full co-op campaign with VoIP support, 3 unique world powers vying for global domination, and over 60 minutes of classic C&C cinematics in full HD.

To really make this the Ultimate Edition, we added a ton of bonus content, some of which is entirely exclusive to the PS3 version, including developer strategy videos, the full soundtrack, 5 new skirmish maps, Behind the Scenes, Bloopers & Outtakes, and my favorite, The Women of RA3 featurette!

Since we last spoke some really cool things have come down the pipe. For starters our PlayStation Store destination went live and we have ton of awesome content hosted on it. There's a Red Alert 3 theme featuring the Soviet Commando, (and my personal favorite) Natasha, high res concept art from each faction, and our official trailer.

We have plans for more exciting content for the PlayStation Store so check back often. Most importantly we have been hard at work on a demo, and it should be available for download in a couple of weeks. We sincerely hope that all...

Unreal Tournament 3 PS3 Titan DLC and Patch Delayed

400°
289w ago - Bad news from the Unreal Tournament III front. Epic Games has announced that the Titan DLC and patch for the game's PS3 version won't be going live tomorrow as planned.

Here's the announcement post from Epic's Steve Polge on the Epic Games forums (linked above):

Unfortunately, due to circumstances out of our control, the certification process for the PS3 patch and DLC has taken much longer than we expected. As a result, we have been forced to push back the release date for the PS3 version to 3/19.

The Titan DLC (which is supposed to be free, by the way) will add 16 new environments and three bonus pack maps to UT3 along with a host of other features like PS3 Trophy support and split-screen support. It also includes a Titan mutator that lets players turn into 15-foot Titans and 30-foot Behemoths.

Should PS3 And PC Fans Be Jealous of Exclusive GTA IV DLC?

250°
295w ago - As a follow-up to today's earlier [Register or Login to view links], we all know the initial [Register or Login to view links] is out. The 360 only DLC for GTA IV ('Lost and the Damned') is looking capital 'A' awesome.

Great news for some of us, but where does that leave our beloved Sony console?

This is what DLC is supposed to be! Rockstar, who over the last decade have consistently stood at the tip of the gaming spear as it thrusts ever forward into bolder and broader areas, has yet again delivered a landmark moment in the evolution of our gaming culture.

Since Microsoft introduced us to the concept of DLC, we have watched in horror as it has again and again become nought but an upwardly turned middle finger, used by greedy publishers to sodomise their loyal fans (case in point: Oblivion's Horse Armour). But The Lost and Damned, the first of two Xbox 360 exclusive downloadable episodes for GTA IV, is the perfect example of DLC done right.

This is not a Knothole Island, or a Shivering Isles where you stay as the same character and merely explore more of the same world, from the same perspective. So much of what GTA is, is driven by the character...

Rockband PS3 DLC: Week of January 6th, 2009 - Roy Orbison Pack

50°
297w ago - Due to Sony's holiday break last week, we didn't get any Rock Band DLC. As a result, everything has been pushed back a week.

Hopefully Harmonix/Sony will adjust this soon - we'd hate to think it will become standard practice for PS3 owners to get their DLC a week later than everyone else.

• "Space Truckin'" - Deep Purple
• "Funk #49" - James Gang
• "Hymn 43" - Jethro Tull
• "Take Back the City" - Snow Patrol

Roy Orbison Pack

• "Claudette"
• "In Dreams"
• "Mean Woman Blues"
• "Oh, Pretty Woman"
• "Ooby Dooby"
• "You Got It"

Each song will be priced individually at $1.99 while the Roy Orbison Pack will cost $9.99. Look for the Roy Orbison tracks next week on Thursday, January 15th while the other songs will debut this Thursday on January 8th.
