166w ago - Sony's Andy Stewart of the Playstation Store Team has outlined this weeks European PSN Game Store content updates today, as follows:

Hello everybody! Ross is at a top secret meeting today (which I don't even know what it is about) so instead you got me - which is probably for the best because I'm going to be extremely attentive. So "Let's get this party started!"

Today we are delighted to announce the release of Resident Evil 4 (a personal favourite of mine, which I am sure does not need any explanation) with a discount for PLUS members of 50%. In addition for PLUS members we also have a discount of 50% for The Undergarden, a game the whole family can enjoy.

We also have coming to the store today the pre-order for PAYDAY: The Heist which I am sure you have heard about though our PlayStation Network PLAY promotion.

This game is released in early October but please note if you have already bought the four games in the PlayStation Network PLAY promotion you will not need to buy / pre-order this as your copy will come to you as a voucher in your email. So don't pre-order if you're eligible!

As for special offers this month which are available for everyone, UbiSoft have contributed some awesome games for you to buy, include Outland and Clash of Heroes...

Video: Eufloria Blooms on PlayStation Network on October 4, 2011

166w ago - Sony Computer Entertainment America Product Evaluator Nick Suttner has shared a new video today confirming that users should make space in their intergalactic gardens on October 4th for Eufloria which hits PlayStation Network then.

To quote: I know it's been a while since we last spoke, but the Pub Fund group at SCEA has been hard at work on bringing interesting, exclusive content to PSN. Okabu, Papo & Yo, and more clandestine projects are still on the horizon, but today I'm here to drop the launch details for Eufloria - a very different, very special sort of strategy game.

It's tough to distill the concept down to a couple of sentences without doing the experience a huge injustice, but this excellent trailer should give you an idea of the mood and visual direction:

Now take that ethereal aesthetic, and the tingling that you're feeling in your temples, and fold a layer of smartly accessible strategy elements over it. You'll be exploring, conquering and colonizing enemy asteroids without the need for messy tech trees or arcane controls.

It's a rare game that satisfies both ends of the art game/strategy game spectrum, but I think that Eufloria nails it. It's also tunable in either direction - play on the less hectic Chilled...

166w ago - Sony VP of Product Marketing Scott Steinberg has detailed PlayStation Move's Fall lineup today, which includes InFamous 2 and InFamous: Festival of Blood among the game titles.

To quote: This fall, PlayStation Move is set to deliver a new batch of compelling experiences that get you on your feet and put you directly in the game.

As we mentioned to you previously, the number of PlayStation Move games released or in development have surpassed 80 titles and continues to grow. When coupled with 3D, PlayStation Move continues to set new benchmarks in immersive gameplay experiences.

Already you've seen AAA titles such as Resistance 3 incorporate PlayStation Move compatibility and you can expect more to come soon, including downloadable expansion packs for LittleBigPlanet 2 and inFAMOUS 2.

Today, LittleBigPlanet 2 Move Pack: Rise of the Cakeling kicks things off with five giant story levels and seven side levels, making it LittleBigPlanet's biggest Downloadable Content Pack to date. In October, we'll really get things moving with the launch of Everybody Dance, the high-energy game that lets you and your friends dance to 40 chart-topping party hits.

Also launching on the 25th is the inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood game, the single-player game that lets you experience...

Ceramic White 320GB PS3 Heads to Europe on November 1, 2011

400°
167w ago - Several months ago we reported that a classic white PlayStation 3 was coming to Japan, and now the ceramic white 320GB PS3 console is heading to Australia and Europe on November 1, 2011.

The white PlayStation 3 will come with two matching white Dualshock 3 controllers, and will be available at Micromania and in Australia at EB Games.

To quote: "Gamers in the UK can expect to pay 250GBP, while those in mainland Europe face a tag of €300 Euro, and Aussies will need to find $448 AUD.

Sadly, the white PS3 won't be coming to North America anytime soon–unless extremely geeky Sony fans across the pond are desperate enough to buy that they'll splash extra for importation."
