PS4 Firmware 2.00 Will Fix Webkit Bug Says PlayStation 4 Hacker Nas

350°
11w ago - Following up on Sony's official announcement and recent hints of PS4 System Software Update 2.00, today PlayStation 4 hacker nas stated the upcoming PS4 Firmware 2.00 Update will fix a potentially useful Webkit bug for developers although it's not related to the recent Nintendo Wii U Browser Exploit.

Below are the details, to quote: PS4 FW 2.00 will fix Webkit Bug

The upcoming firmware update for PS4 will fix a "useful" bug in Sony's browser. Useful as in "useful for people who have some x64 reversing skills".

Muchas gracias to Proxima

Yes, its not related to the bug used to exploit the Wii U.

Finally, from Zecoxao: my best guess will be that everyone will be looking for said bug now, seeing as they can downgrade if they have the dump from previous firmwares.

White Paper Games Announces Ether One is Coming Soon to PS4

11w ago - White Paper Games Co-founder and Game Designer Pete Bottomley announced today that Ether One is coming soon to PS4 with details below.

To quote: Hey! We're [Register or Login to view links] and we're REALLY excited to announce that we're joining the PlayStation family. We released a game called Ether One back in March 2014 on PC and we're now focused on developing on PS4.

The exciting thing about releasing on PS4 is that we'll be creating Ether One from scratch in the new Unreal Engine 4. That means it's not just a direct port, we'll be re-building it again in UE4 to make it feel great on console.

To give you a little background about our studio, we're a team of five from Manchester in the UK. Ether One was our first game and we're really proud of what we achieved in a short space of time. Like being nominated for a Develop Award in the Use of Narrative, we've been blown away by how good the response from people has been.

We have to admit, we love our PlayStation, so when Sony asked us if we wanted to be on the platform our answer was unanimously YES! Sony have been really great providing a small studio like ours with so much support and the opportunity to get onto PS4, so we'd like to give them a massive thank you. So, what is Ether One?

PIX the CAT Announced for PS4 and PS Vita by Pastagames

11w ago - Pastagames Final Boss Fabien Delpiano announced today that PIX the CAT is coming to PS4 and PS Vita consoles.

Below are the details, to quote: Hi everyone! PIX the CAT is coming to PS4 and PS Vita with a mission: to make your thumbs sore! After Pix'n Love - Rush (PS Minis), the infamous blue cat is back for an intense scoring arcade game loaded with surprises.

Writing these words means the world to us. It means that the game we've been making for the last three years is coming out!

Our strategy at Pastagames is simple: gather XP and gold by making cool games for others (Rayman Jungle Run, Panzer Bimbo, AR Rescue...) then spend it all on our homegrown productions. We empty the bank account and start the cycle over.

PIX the CAT is the game that saw the most cycles. For the first time in years, we're playing it solo! No publishing or editing to hold us back from our many kinks and obsessions! Naturally, we've ended up being obsessed and kinky about everything, even the new Pastagames website. But most of all about getting players sucked into the game from head to toe.

The Arcade gameplay comes from our initial desire to build a hectic 2D level-based scoring game that offers constant flow without any kind of scrolling. We wanted the blue cat to ride the maze and...

Forge Reply Announces In Space We Brawl is Coming to PS4, PS3

11w ago - Forge Reply's Alessandro Mazzega announced today that In Space We Brawl is coming to PS4 and PS3 platforms with details below.

To quote: Hi there, readers! I'm Alessandro and I handle marketing and PR here at [Register or Login to view links]. I'm with you today to talk about our brand-new game, In Space We Brawl.

Here at the studio, we have always enjoyed couch multiplayer games. In fact, that's what we do in our lunch breaks: playing together and laughing, yelling and taunting each other.

Eventually, these emotions drove me to join Jacopo, one of our game designers, in a brainstorming session that ended up with a sketch on a napkin. And so the basic elements of In Space We Brawl started falling into place.

In Space We Brawl is a local multiplayer, twin stick shooter with a lot of innovative features. Another source of inspiration has been the classic versus beat 'em up genre, because of the diversity in the characters and the fighting styles.

We decided to elaborate on this and went for a diverse roster of spaceships and weapons: In Space We Brawl lets you try 100+ different combinations, between 11 vessels and 11 tools of space-destruction.

Are you going to equip an agile (but fragile) Pulsar ship with a deadly plasma sword? Or do...

Toxic Games Announces Q.U.B.E. 2 is Coming to PlayStation 4

50°
11w ago - Toxic Games Managing Director Dan Da Rocha announced today that Q.U.B.E. 2 is coming to PlayStation 4 with details below.

To quote: Hello, Toxic Games here. You may have heard of our first game called Q.U.B.E, which came out on PC in 2012 and is heading to PS3 and PS4 soon. Well, we're now working on the sequel, Q.U.B.E. .

On the team we have the original line-up including myself Dan Da Rocha, Dave Hall, and Jon Savery. Since the launch of the original game we have been busy working on adding extra content to the original to form Q.U.B.E. Director's Cut and are now focusing on bringing Q.U.B.E. to PS4.

The sequel is going to refine the core mechanics of the original. There will be a slew of new and exciting puzzles that will boggle your mind, and a tightly woven narrative which will further expand the Q.U.B.E. universe. Oh, and it's being developed in Unreal Engine 4, so dem cubes are going to be extra shiny... just when you thought cubes couldn't look any better!

And to top it all off, we plan to support Project Morpheus. We've already taken the hardware for a spin and it's shaping up to be something fantastic so we can't wait to get our hands (or gloves?) on a kit to begin developing for it!
