NIS America Confirms The Guided Fate Paradox is Out Today on PS3

50°
45w ago - NIS America Marketing Coordinator David Alonzo confirmed that The Guided Fate Paradox is out today on PS3 with details below.

To quote: Hey, doods! Your humble Prinny David from NIS America again, and I'm here to ask: are you prepared? Have you made peace with your social life?

Because The Guided Fate Paradox is finally upon us - out in stores today and on PlayStation Store. Now then, gather ye 'round, that we may bear witness to the glory that is this story-based roguelike!

In The Guided Fate Paradox, Renya Kagurazaka is an ordinary high school student who wins a mall lottery and becomes a god! Guided by an angel named Lilliel, he learns that a god's job isn't just sitting around in the clouds.

He must help people (And mermaids, and zombies...) by guiding them to their proper fates - a task that can only be done in the Copy World, which renders each person's fate into a different, randomly-generated dungeon. There, Renya can lay a hammer of judgment down on the aberrations holding these folks back from their fates.

And you don't just have hammers, either. You've got tank treads, a Prinny hat, electric plug hands there are hundreds of items you can equip, each with their own unique "Divine Skill" attached, which will help you blast your way through these dungeons....

Zen Studios Confirms CastleStorm is Out Today on PS3 and PS Vita

50°
45w ago - Zen Studios Community Manager Bobby Loertscher confirmed that CastleStorm is out today on PS3 and PS Vita platforms.

To quote: If you like building castles, destroying castles, knights, vikings, war, weapons, spells, troops, multiplayer, PS3, PS Vita, cross buy, well... CastleStorm is your game! CastleStorm launches today for both PS3 and PS Vita.

For those of you getting ready to play later today, we thought it would be nice to give you some tips on using the ballista, the primary weapon mounted just above your castle's gate.

Starting out, you'll utilize the low-powered, quick-spawning javelin, while the vikings fire harpoons. As the game progresses, you'll unlock more projectiles for your arsenal and upgrade these with gold you earn during missions.

The javelins and harpoons have the shortest regeneration period and will be your best asset in early levels. Getting five kills at once activates a shooting frenzy, which means you can shoot all projectiles in rapid succession for a few seconds. No regeneration period means you can do a lot of damage in a short amount of time, so don't hesitate to fire away.

While javelins are meant for targeting specific enemies on the ground, the Knights' Apple Grenade can either be used to take out a cluster of oncoming enemies,...

45w ago - CEO Francois Potentier at Mighty Rocket Studio announced that Final Exam is out today for PS3.

Final Exam on PS3

Do you like action games or beat 'em ups? If so, I encourage you to try the demo. In Final Exam, you can maim monsters with baseball bats, shotguns, flamethrowers, and many more.

There's a solo mode, a co-op mode for two players on the same screen, and a multiplayer mode, with up to four players online. You'll have plenty of fun in solo mode, and even more fun when playing in multiplayer mode.

Choose your favorite character: Brutal Joe (the quarterback), Cassy (the street dancer), Nathan (The geek, my favorite!) and Sean (the handsome bad boy). Learn to take advantage of each one's unique characteristics, make them evolve, and discover their most powerful attacks through eight monster-packed missions. We can promise many hours of fun.

There's also a time attack mode that you'll have to unlock. One particular guy on the team that really, really likes getting high scores inspired us. In this mode, you have seven minutes to get the highest possible score. So you'd better unlock all...

Curve Studios: Proteus Out Today on PS3 and PlayStation Vita

50°
46w ago - Curve Studios PR and Marketing Manager Rob Clarke announced today that Proteus is officially out today on both PS3 and PlayStation Vita platforms.

To quote: Hi, Rob from Curve Studios here! We're proud to announce that Proteus launches today for PS3 and PS Vita on PlayStation Store. Proteus has cross buy functionality, and will be available for $13.99.

Proteus was designed by Ed Key and David Kanaga, and was released in 2011 on PC. It's a game all about exploring a dreamlike, island world. Proteus' music and sounds change depending on where you move, creating a different journey each time you play.

We've been working on Proteus all summer, and after launching three other PlayStation games this year at Curve, you might not be surprised to learn our version of Proteus has a few additional features that are exclusive to the PlayStation versions of the game.

On the Vita version, Proteus can generate an island based on your geographical location, and on the PS3 version, you can generate islands based on the current date.

Islands generated in this fashion will be the same for anyone in the same location or on the same day, and will also be more "wild" than regular islands in the game, featuring various twists on the original's islands, as well as shifting, surreal...
