Wolverine Uncaged - 5 Tips and Tricks for Upcoming PS3 DLC

50°
290w ago - Raven Software's Project Lead Dan Vondrak has shared some X-Men Origins: Wolverine tips and tricks for upcoming DLC.

To quote: We are so amped that we can finally bring everyone the Weapon X Arena as DLC. It'll be available for download on Thursday, June 4th for $9.99.

This level is insane! The guys here at Raven actually built it as a test level to see how far we could push the boundaries of the combat in the game. And now you get to put yourself, and Wolverine, to the same challenge.

I want you to be able to get the most out of the game. We really tried to pour as much variety and intensity into this game as humanly possible. Here are five secrets that you can use for the most kickass combat experience ever in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Enjoy!

Defense is the Best Offense?

We made Wolverine an offensive machine, so it's easy to get used to tearing into enemies using all the crazy combat moves at your disposal. But we also spent a lot of time giving Wolverine defensive moves that when used right can actually deal out some serious damage and keep Wolverine from taking any.

We wanted to respect that side of Wolverine you see in the comic - being agile, being tactical in combat. The "counter" mechanic is something I use a ton during...

PS3 Owners: Don't Buy Fallout 3 DLC, Wait for GOTY Edition

250°
292w ago - As you may or may not have heard, all of the Xbox 360 exclusive downloadable content for Fallout 3 will be coming to the PS3 this summer, thereby making the Xbox 360 exclusive DLC not Xbox 360 exclusive at all.

Timed exclusive? Whatever, that doesn't mean anything to me.

In addition, however, two new chunks of DLC are coming to both platforms, though the 360 gets it first... again. So you might think to yourselves, dear PS3 owners, that you've waited long enough and want to buy that DLC right away. But not so fast!

The DLC is only going to start trickling out this summer, the two new pieces actually hitting in the fall. As it turns out, a Game of the Year edition is also coming out in the fall, October to be more specific, and it's going to have all five DLCs in one package. If you've managed to hold out this long, you might as well just wait and get the GOTY edition.

As an expert calculator user, I can tell you that five pieces of DLC at $10 apiece is $50, and that's on top of buying the game in the first place. Trade that game in, however, (or sell it) and you'll likely make up the $10 difference. This gets you all of the DLC without taking up precious hard drive space, and it doesn't cost you anything more than if you downloaded it all separately.

MotorStorm: Pacific Rift PS3 Game Update and Free DLC

50°
293w ago - Today SCEA Product Marketing Specialist David Bull has announced a MotorStorm: Pacific Rift PS3 game update and free DLC!

To quote: Starting this Thursday, May 14th, we'll be sending a downloadable vehicle livery pack your way every week for the next eight weeks exclusively via PlayStation Store.

Each pack features new paint jobs for three vehicles, and the full set will give MotorStorm: Pacific Rift players a cutting-edge new look for every single vehicle class in the game: Mudpluggers, Quad Bikes, Monster Trucks, Rally Cars and more. Each new livery has been designed by one of Evolution's top studio artists and the result is a collection of some of the craziest and out-there vehicle sprays ever seen in a racing game!

And to top it off, all these liveries are FREE!

Additionally, Game Update #2 was just released, and provides a number of useful fixes and updates for MotorStorm Pacific Rift. These include:

•Sugar Rush short-cut removed - The short-cut to the left of the "keep right" arrows going into the sugar field was not intentionally included and has been removed
• Sugar Rush respawn point fixed - Crashing at a certain point on the track no longer respawns the vehicle in a generous position...

GTA IV Lost & Damned PS3 DLC Release Date Revealed?

200°
294w ago - Is August 20th the day for the Lost and Damned DLC?

For months now, PlayStation 3 gamers have been asking when will the Lost & Damned DLC come to the PSN Store?

PSW Magazine recently published an article in their magazine stating that Microsoft only had a 6 month exclusivity deal for 'The Lost and Damned' add-on for Grand Theft Auto IV.

This potentially means that the add-on will be released on August 20th, 2009.

So everyone get ready because it will come sooner rather than later!
