109w ago - SideQuest Studios CEO Marcus Pukropski has announced today that PS3 RPG Rainbow Moon rises on PSN this July 10th alongside some new video footage below!

To quote: Rainbow Moon is our upcoming role-playing game for PS3. It's been nearly two years since we started working on Rainbow Moon, so we can hardly believe that the game releases on PSN in just over two weeks – it'll hit PlayStation Store on July 10th for $14.99.

If you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you'll enjoy a 20% discount, paying just $11.99, for the first two weeks after launch.

The last time we spoke, I explained Rainbow Moon's battle system. This time, I'd like to give you some insight into the game's character development system.

Many gamers think that character development is just about battling and leveling up. While that's partly true in Rainbow Moon, there's a lot more that can make or break a game.

Aside from RPG standards like experience points and gaining levels, in Rainbow Moon you can earn a resource called "Rainbow Pearls." You can exchanged these for improved character attributes or increased health and magic limits.

This system gives you a certain freedom in how you'd like...

109w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Rey Gutierrez is here with the new PS3 and PSN releases for the upcoming week today, as follows:

On PS3 this week, Spec Ops: The Line unfolds within the destroyed opulence of Dubai.

Once the playground for the world's wealthiest elite, Dubai has fallen victim to a series of cataclysmic sandstorms. The very sand that blankets the city plays a marquee role in altering combat situations and serves as a powerful but unpredictable force that will both help and hinder players throughout the course of the game.

On PSN, bundled or sold separately. Relive or experience for the first time the exclusive blockbuster adventures of Nathan Drake in UNCHARTED: Drake's Fortune and UNCHARTED: Among Thieves as digital downloads. Enjoy this week's The Drop.

PlayStation 3

Spec Ops: The Line - While most people have fled the now-barren wasteland before the sandstorms swept through, U.S. Army Colonel John Konrad and his loyal squad remained behind to protect those incapable of escape. Unable to reach anyone in Dubai after the storm hit, the U.S. Army feared Konrad and his team dead until they picked up a weak distress signal and launched a rescue operation.

As U.S. Army Captain Martin Walker, you and your elite...

Video: Okami HD Hits PS3 with PlayStation Move Support This Fall

400°
109w ago - Capcom Marketing Manager Tristan Corbett has announced today that Okami HD is coming exclusively to PS3 complete with PlayStation Move support this Fall.

Below is a video of it in action, and to quote: I'm pleased to confirm that this fall, gamers will be able to return to the land of Nippon in Okami HD, exclusively on the PS3 with PlayStation Move support.

Initially released to critical acclaim on the PS2, Okami HD has the player take on the role of Amaterasu, the Japanese sun goddess, who inhabits the form of a wolf.

After a tyrannical monster, Orochi, turns the world into a ruined, colorless wasteland, Amaterasu must use her magical abilities to restore the land to its previous glory and defeat the demon in charge of the destruction.

Okami HD brings Amaterasu's epic tale to the PS3 with fully integrated HD graphics and widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio. I did not think it was possible to make the game look even better, but when I saw it for myself, I was a believer.

The trademark sumi-e ink art style lends itself perfectly to HD, allowing players to experience more of the awe-inspiring world displayed in more detail than ever before. Check out the trailer above to see what I'm talking...
