It's a week of Major Leaguers in all fields of gaming, and Only On PlayStation. Use the precision of dual-analog controls and unique touch gameplay on PS Vita in Unit 13.

Take the MLB experience on the road, or swing for the fences with the PlayStation Move when MLB 12: The Show slides into the PS Vita and PS3.

Also on PS3, fight and defend the safety of Earth and the galaxy as you fight the ancient aliens known as the Reapers in Mass Effect 3. Street Fighter x Tekken and MotorStorm RC also make their debuts on this week's The Drop.

Sony Releases the PlayStation Official Application 1.3 Update

142w ago - Sony Portal Manager Emmanuel Orssaud has announced the release of the PlayStation Official Application 1.3 update today with details below, as follows:

A new update of the PlayStation Official App is now available. With this new version (1.3), you will be able to get all the latest PS Vita News, Games, Peripherals info directly from your smartphone.

From the home menu, you'll get a prompt to discover PS Vita via an augmented reality feature. All you have to do is find a PS Vita logo, zap it and this will trigger the interactive animation.

Hope you enjoy the new version and I'll be back on the blog pretty soon to announce the next big release (version 2.0) which will be the biggest update to the app so far with new features.

Note: PlayStation Official App is compatible with iPhone 3GS, 4 and 4S with minimum of iOS 4 and for Android devices with OS 2.1 and above.

PlayStation Official App doesn't support Android devices with small screens e.g. Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini.

The most talked about demo on PSN finally arrives in its full glory and with exclusive access to Mount Fuji, when SSX returns and performs a "front-side switch ollie" onto your PS3.

The unique multiplayer experience of Killzone 3, sheds the single-player campaign and arrives solo onto the PlayStation Store. PS Vita demos come in fours this week, with Touch My Katamari and Reality Fighters leading the pack.
