100°
141w ago - SEGA Senior Producer Matt Powers has shared a new Aliens: Colonial Marines video trailer today while confirming that the video game will be arriving in February, 2013.

To quote: In 1986, James Cameron's Aliens hit theaters, instantly becoming one of the most iconic science fiction movies in cinematic history.

This movie was a huge success and was nominated for seven Academy Awards. The film that had so many great elements to it: blistering action, Marine camaraderie, creeping tension, and of course, the xenomorphs.

When people ask me what it is like working on a game based on Aliens, a game that is the actual sequel to the movie Aliens, it is tough to put the experience into words. First of all, "passion" is a key word in the development of this game.

The team at Gearbox is very passionate not only about Aliens but storytelling and the game experience. It is so important to all of us to do this game right – the Aliens franchise deserves an awesome video game. Another key word is "intimidating," because Aliens is a revered franchise with fans all over the world.

I have been lucky enough to show Aliens: Colonial Marines to fans at PAX, E3, Gamescom, Igromir and more. And I have found that people all around the world, people of all ages, love Aliens. When fans...

Video: Assassin's Creed III - World Premiere PS3 Gameplay Trailer

142w ago - Ubisoft Community Developer Gabriel Graziani has unveiled the Assassin's Creed III world premiere PS3 gameplay trailer video introducing Connor today!

To quote: The World Premiere Gameplay Trailer of Assassin's Creed III is finally here! We know you've been waiting for this since the initial announcement back in March, so go ahead and watch it right now... I'll be right here when you're done.

Okay, now that you've been properly introduced to Connor, our new Assassin, there are a couple of things in this video that I'd like to call your attention to.

Firstly, there are the basics of Connor's character. He is a brutally effective Assassin, taking down his targets with speed and dexterity.

Note how he flows across the battlefield, moving from one kill to another in a seamless, unbroken pace until finally finishing his target with vicious grace. There's also Connor's Native American/English heritage, which adds complexity and richness to his motivation.

On top of the incredibly fluid combat, Connor is generally more agile and deft in his movements, easily able to employ all of the trademark maneuvers of the Assassin.

Now, however, Connor can travel through the trees as effortlessly...

Video: Rainbow Moon for PSN: Watch the New PS3 Trailer Now

143w ago - SideQuest Studios CEO Marcus Pukropski has posted up a new video trailer today of PlayStation Network title Rainbow Moon for PS3 fans below!

To quote: Last November, I had the opportunity to introduce you to Rainbow Moon, our upcoming strategy RPG for PS3.

Since then, we have received amazing feedback from all of you. In the lead up to the release, it gives me great pleasure to tell you more about the game's battle system.

You also have the chance to be one of the first to watch the Rainbow Moon trailer.

Although much of Rainbow Moon's appeal is in its exploration and character development, the battles are what matter most.

Akin to our Soldner-X game series, we have taken an innovative approach by combining classical elements with new ideas. An example is the triggering of battle encounters. Random encounters? Yes or no? Well, how about both?!

In Rainbow Moon you will find foes roaming the surface of the planet and have a chance to battle in additional random encounters. The latter, however, are 100% optional and can be disregarded if you so decide.

All battles take place on grid-sized maps and are completely turn based. That's right, just like the good...

144w ago - LightBox Interactive President Dylan Jobe has officially unveiled the Starhawk PS3 story trailer video today with details below!

To quote: From the depths I emerge to share with you and all other "nodes" on the internets a wonderful tale.

A tale of a game with hot multiplayer action yet, unbeknownst to most players, a fun-as-hell solo campaign as well. So peel back your eyelids and let the video below impregnate your brain! (Yes, your brain can get pregnant!)

The team has been working all hours at Santa Monica Studio and here at LightBox Interactive to finish up Starhawk and we wanted to take a bit of time to share our latest Singleplayer trailer.

Most people out there really only know [Register or Login to view links] for its online multiplayer, which totally kicks ass and was certainly our team's focus. But the fact is that Starhawk has a very fun and unique solo campaign too... and NO, it's not just an MP tutorial with bots!

Starhawk's Build & Battle mechanics are fully supported by the Universe we've created. The war between the Rifters and the Outcast. The conflict between Emmett and Logan.

Even humanity's rush for "blue-gold" that spans the Frontier....

Video: Sorcery Conjures Story Trailer, Final US PS3 Box Art Arrives

100°
145w ago - Sony Creative Director Brian Upton at Santa Monica Studio has shared a new video trailer and the Final US box art for Sorcery on the PlayStation 3 today!

To quote: Now that we're a month out from the May 22nd launch of Sorcery, I'm pleased to show off our final box art, along a brand new trailer that dives in the story behind this much anticipated PlayStation Move title.

Some elements of the story were remarkably consistent throughout development process, while some have changed quite dramatically. The two main characters - Finn, the sorcerer's apprentice, and Erline, his magical cat - were there almost from the beginning.

We always knew they were on a quest to reach the Slumbering Palace at the heart of the Faerie Realm. However, WHY they were on this quest, and WHO was trying to stop them kept shifting. Here's a look...

A lot of the details of the story grew organically out of gameplay. The team would have a cool idea for an enemy or a puzzle or an encounter and I'd weave the rest of the narrative around it.

For example, the civilization of the bogeys (an early-game enemy) is crude and brutal because that's how they behave when they attack. And a lot of the mythology...
