By now, you've heard about the latest PS3 Firmware update (v2.70) that allows you to backup the movies and TV shows you purchase from PlayStation Store to an external storage device, so you can make room on your hard drive and restore the videos any time in the future.

Also, the videos you purchase for the PSP can now be transferred to the PS3 for playback.

Here are this week's updates to the video store. We also wanted to share with you a short clip from [Register or Login to view links], which debuts on [Register or Login to view links] next Thursday, April 9. It will be available for purchase on PlayStation Store the following day.

Saddle up with reluctant hero Krod Mandoon and his band of inept freedom fighters as they battle an evil warlord–and their own incompetence–in Comedy Central's epically outrageous fantasy series.

FLOCK! for PS3 Hits PlayStation Network on April 9, 2009

100°
298w ago - Today Capcom's John Diamonon announced that FLOCK! for PS3 will be hitting Sony's PlayStation Network on April 9, 2009.

To quote: The real reason I'm here is to let you know that next Thursday, FLOCK! finally arrives on PSN. Soon you'll be able to manipulate cute, cuddly animals with the help of your trusty UFO. You don't even have to be in a farm to flock sheep, Capcom is giving you the ability to do this in the privacy of your own home. You can even call a friend over and flock.

If you've never herd of FLOCK! before, here's a video with the beautiful Veronica Belmont and one the folks at Capcom going over some of the cool features in the game (I'm loving the outfit Veronica!).

Did I mention trophy and in-game XMB music support? Another cool feature is the level editor where you can create your own plushy environments and share them online.

There's also a rating system where you can praise the brilliant work of others, or pan some of the more awkward levels that are made available (Giving fans creative freedom is not always a good thing).

So, if you've been keeping up with my blogs, I've been hinting for months about a cool surprise for PSN gamers this year. Well, stay tuned. I'm ready to talk...

Nintendo's Wii Fit Says Happy April Fools Day 2009

250°
299w ago - Kotaku has reported today that Nintendo's Wii Fit is wishing users a Happy April Fools Day 2009 today as follows:

This is pretty neat. Booting up your copy of Wii Fit today will earn you a couple of pretty obvious April Fool's jokes.

Reader Andrew shipped us these two pictures, one showing the Wii Fit claiming that it's broken and another hinting that the Wii Fit may lie about your Body Test results.

Can you imagine if all electronics took today seriously? We'd be in a world of hurt.
