350°
132w ago - Today Ubisoft Community Developer Gabriel Graziani has officially unveiled Assassin's Creed III's first PS3 trailer below!

To quote: After several years of work, by hundreds of some of the most talented developers on the planet, we are extraordinarily pleased to show you the very first official trailer for Assassin's Creed III.

Today, we'd like to offer a glimpse of the rich backdrop provided by the American Revolution, as well as sneaking in some details about our Native American protagonist: Connor.

Keep your eyes peeled for a certain historic figure you may recognize (trust me, he'll be hard to miss)... and ponder his role both in a story of the foundation of a nation and the ceaseless conflict between the Templars and Assassins.

As previously announced, Assassin's Creed III ships for PS3 on October 30, 2012.

Video: Sony Showcases New Starhawk Build to Kill PS3 Trailer

50°
133w ago - Sony Senior Producer Harvard Bonin has showcased a new Starhawk Build to Kill PS3 trailer today, complete with details below as follows:

As most of you know, Starhawk is a frenetic 3rd person shooter with a ton of toys to play with. Its got a strong solo story campaign, deep 32 player head-to-head and even co-op! You can run, fly and drive almost anywhere you want.

Its vehicular combat at its finest. The most popular question we get from players unfamiliar with the game is "What is this thing called Build & Battle?"

Simply put its a dead simple way to build up a base all around you while staying in the middle of a fierce battle. Its not block building and its not slow. We're not making Sim City. To show you, here is a nifty trailer!

In Starhawk we have one simple slogan..."Kill to build, build to kill."

It's not a gimmick. Its a really easy way for players to change the battlefield on the fly, in an instant straightforward manner. Its about dropping gigantic crates from orbit, having them smash down in front of you and having a big laser or bunker build right in front of you. You can even drop them on enemies ("Dorothy'd").

So other than dropping massive structures...

To quote: When I say that Borderlands changed my life, it's no exaggeration. It was the way that the game rewarded each and every action that got me. Every enemy I gunned down, every chest I opened brought a feeling of accomplishment and progression.

So when I had the opportunity to join the team at Gearbox Software, I moved halfway across the country without a moment's hesitation. Ever since, I've been seeing things that amaze me, things I know our fans will absolutely love. Things I haven't been able to talk about... until today.

Because today, we're blowing the lid off of Borderlands 2. We've got a new trailer, and if you haven't already skimmed down and hit Play, let me tell you what you're in for. You're going to meet the four new playable characters. You're going to catch a glimpse of the colorful new environments and areas you'll be fighting through.

You're going to see what you're up against, from new enemies like the multi-armed Bullymong and the robotic Loaders to the man with the plan to destroy you and everyone else on the planet, Handsome Jack. You're going to see a fraction...

Video: Making Of: The Last Of Us PS3 Announcement Trailer

350°
137w ago - SCEE Manager James Gallagher has shared some video footage today spotlighting the making of The Last Of Us PS3 announcement trailer below.

To quote: In December we announced The Last of Us during the 2011 Spike VGA Awards. The Last of Us is a genre-defining experience that blends survival and action elements to tell a character driven tale about a modern plague decimating mankind.

Well prior to our announcement we had been hard at work on a trailer perfectly crafted to set the tone and (hopefully) get your blood pumping with excitement when we made our announcement. If you haven't seen that trailer yet be sure to check it out below.

Today we're sharing a deeper look into that trailer. We were hard at work on the announcement trailer for quite awhile and a lot of design went into making certain every frame contained some nugget of information you could take away about the game itself.

Taken more than a year ago and over the course of a few days of planning, prep, and acting what you see here is a nice glimpse into some of the behind the screens work that went into making that trailer possible.

Comprised of shots we decided to keep in the trailer, here's the motion capture footage...
