319w ago - 2K Games has outlined its plans for the announced downloadable content coming to BioShock for the PlayStation 3.

On November 20, fans of splicing can pay $9.99 for three self-contained Challenge Rooms. The new rooms also offer PlayStation Trophies for clever solutions to the problems they present. The description of the rooms straight from 2K Games follows:

A Shocking Turn of Events - A Little Sister is trapped atop a Ferris wheel in an undisclosed location in Rapture. Using only the tools and environment around them, players must use their wits to create electricity to power the Ferris wheel and bring the Little Sister to safety.

The I in Team - Using limited resources, and an even more limited arsenal, players must negotiate traps and find a way to defeat a Big Daddy using their wits instead of raw firepower.

Worlds of Hurt - Step up and take on the most grueling challenge offered in the world of Rapture. Players must battle through eight rooms of Big Daddies, Splicers and the worst that Rapture has to offer. Accumulate Adam, build an arsenal of Plasmids, Tonics and Weaponry, and fight through to rescue the Little Sister.

$10 is becoming a standard price for meaty downloadable content, but we'll have to see just how much substance there is...

320w ago - This week on the German USK rating board three new titles have popped up, all being created by Creat Studios who are currently busy on the new Tony Hawk title for the Nintendo DS.

The three titles are Magic Ball, Cuboid and Mahjong Tales: Ancient Wisdom.

While we don't know nothing concrete on the games, Magic Ball could very well be a PlayStation 3 revision of Alawar Entertainment's Magic Ball series, effectively an Arkanoid clone with a twist.

Nothing could be found about Cuboid, but Mahjong Tales is fairly self explanatory. We should be hearing more about these titles soon.

The Companions in Courage Foundation, started by hockey great Pat LaFontaine, established the Lion's Den Kiosk program with Microsoft Corp. "Microsoft is committed to keeping kids entertained in a variety of ways within a safe gaming environment, so partnering with Companions in Courage to offer children in hospitals a way to connect through something as universal as games, is a natural fit for the work we do," said Microsoft President, Entertainment and Devices Division, Robbie Bach. "The goal for this program is to give these kids a chance to have some fun and just be kids."

Colorado Avalanche hockey greats Peter Budaj and Ruslan Salei broke in the new game kiosks with pediatric patients today at RMHC.
