71w ago - Following up on our previous update, today PlayStation Access Community Manager MusterBuster has announced that the BBC Sports App Beta is now in high definition!
Below are the details, to quote: Good news sport lovers, a new version of the BBC Sports App Beta is now available and it's equipped with new features, more coverage and many, many more pixels.
The new version of the beta supports high definition footage across the live events featured in the app and, since the PlayStation community will be amongst the first in the country to try it out, we're really keen to get your feedback on how it performs. Once you've given it a go, leave us a comment down below to let us know what you think.
In addition to HD goodness, the BBC is adding more and more content to the app to cover off this Summer's big sporting event in London.

71w ago - Sony Blog Manager Fred Dutton has officially announced that PlayStation Network will be down for scheduled maintenance later this week from July 26th to the 27th.
Below are the details, to quote: PlayStation Network is offline for scheduled maintenance from 16:00 on Thursday 26th July 2012 until 08:00 on Friday 27th July 2012, BST.
During the maintenance, you will be unable to access the following services:
• PlayStation Store on PS3, PSP and PS Vita.
• PlayStation Network Account Management.
• PlayStation Network Account Registration.
If you wish to play online during the maintenance, then you may be able to do so if you sign in to PSN before the start of the maintenance window. However, please note that all the services listed above will not be available, even if you are signed into the Network.
During this maintenance, you can continue to collect in-game trophies and these will be updated on your profile once PlayStation Network is back up and running.

72w ago - Neko Entertainment QA Manager Sebastian Chipot has announced today that Puddle will be splashing on to PlayStation Vita next week with details below.
To quote: Hello, I'm Sebastien from Neko Entertainment. We came out with a game earlier this year called Puddle, and we're bringing it to PS Vita next week!
Puddle began as a project by six students of the video game school ENJMIN. It won a Student Showcase prize at the Independent Gaming Festival at GDC 2010, and was later picked up by Neko Entertainment. There, those same six students were able to turn it into a full-fledged game.
After we released the game on PS3, we worked hard to get a better handle on the game's mechanics, so we'd be able to deliver a new version of Puddle on PS Vita. We paid particular attention to feedback from PS3 players when working on the PS Vita version – which will have many exclusive features!
We made the game a bit easier (there's an option to "whine and skip" a level if it's proving too difficult), there are now tips on every loading screen, and menus have been changed to take advantage of the touch screen.
You can change the control setup (tilt the console, use the left stick, use L and R buttons, or even use the rear touch pad). We wanted to make sure you have...
