Leipzig Games Convention, August 2008: Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) announced today that SCEE has joined forces with Sony Online Entertainment LLC (SOE) - developer of groundbreaking online Massive Multiplayer Online (MMOs) games including the wildly popular EverQuestÂ® -- in an arrangement that will bring a whole new dimension to PLAYSTATIONÂ®3 (PS3™) gaming.
Under the new agreement, SCEE will publish and distribute three MMOs developed by SOE for PS3 throughout the PAL territories. Finally, some good games for the PS3: It does take some time for video game makers to come out with games that make you go 'wow'. With the exception of a few games (such as Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction), the PS3 hasn't had that game that inspires people to rush out and buy the console.

309w ago - Fans of Stargate will get a good taste of the Stargate Worlds MMO today. The first ever trailer for the game will be shown tonight as Stargate Atlantis has its mid-season premiere tonight at 10/9 p.m. EST/CST.

317w ago - SouthPeak is fixing both Xbox 360 and PC versions of the action RPG.
The publisher has announced that a playable demo of the RPG adventure Two Worlds has been released on Xbox Live. The demo features a large section of the single-player map to explore and quests to solve.
Meanwhile SouthPeak also says that a patch is forthcoming for both PC and Xbox 360 games to address issues experienced by some players.

319w ago - The growing number of toy-themed virtual worlds aimed at young people risks undermining the basic human values we wish to instill in children. So said industry veteran Lord Puttnam opening a London conference devoted to discussing virtual worlds.
He feared that all children will learn from these virtual spaces is that they are first and foremost consumers.
He urged creators to build more moral virtual worlds that instill children with the values societies need.
