140w ago - Update: VGN365.com has now clarified that the ChromeClientPOSIX discovery was referring to the browser chrome not 'Google Chrome' the Web browser, and concludes that Google Chrome is not likely coming to the PS3 entertainment system after all.
According to Dutch site PS3Life.nl (linked above), Sony's PS3 entertainment system may soon be getting the popular Google Chrome Web browser despite Google responding that they have nothing to announce at this time.
Additionally, a job listing implies that Sony is indeed hiring a developer to work with Google Chrome's Engine.

Here you can see several things that Sony has updated on March 31 for pilot testing. A forum user NeoGaf the forum was, incidentally, to the bored and a look in the ps3-webkit-support.diff...

175w ago - A few days back we saw hints that the Killzone 3 PS3 beta may be coming, and today further confirmation arrives with the launch of the official Killzone 3 PlayStation 3 Web site HERE.
According to JamesM5150 via IronStarMovement.com (linked above), more Killzone 3 PS3 details are expected to surface at this year's Gamescom convention, which runs from August 18th to the 22nd, 2010.
To quote: "This pretty much confirms that there will be indeed some sort of public beta announcement soon, considering everyone that had access to the Killzone 2 multiplayer beta (which started: 10/08/08) can view the Killzone 3 beta listing themselves.
There is also a Killzone 3 beta website that allows you to log-in with your PlayStation Network ID, however, you cannot access the contents of the webpage just yet and your PSN ID is claimed to be invalid."
189w ago - Today Techeye.net (linked above) reports via PittsburghLive.com that a 17-year-old SOCOM US Navy Seals cheater who got kicked off Sony's PlayStation site retaliated by hacking it, and as a result he was sentenced to a year's probation.
In addition, the Latrobe teen will also have to perform 250 hours of community service and pay Sony $5,000 in damages.
Apparently Sony asked for more than $33,200 in restitution, but the judge ruled that amount would be too excessive for the teen.
To quote: "Coppers claimed that the teen crippled Sony's online PlayStation site in retaliation for being kicked off the site for cheating while playing a war game called SOCOM US Navy Seals.
He used hacker tools to contact a botnet and these were directed clog three games on the PlayStation site, causing it to crash and go off-line.
Sony wanted $33,200 in restitution, but the judge ruled that amount would be too excessive for the teen."
