190w ago - Today Naughty Dog's Co-President Evan Wells has announced that they will be updating the frequency of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Twitter feeds as a result of too many updates.

To quote: We've seen some concern about the frequency of updates for those choosing to use UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves' Twitter support.

Some reviewers have had early access to the game and selected the option to update their Twitter accounts as they completed each chapter of the game. This has resulted in some Twitter feeds being updated multiple times an hour.

We obviously want to provide the best experience for everybody, so for the time being we've disabled Twitter updates on chapter completions. The option will still exist in the menus when the game ships on 10/13, but if activated, it will do nothing.

Some time after the game has shipped, we'll release a patch to reactivate the feature, but with a limit on the frequency of updates.

We're certainly sorry for any inconvenience, but I guess that's the risk you run when trying to blaze a new trail in the complicated world of Social Media!

191w ago - Today Sony's Social Media Senior Specialist Chris Morell has announced locations on where fans can get a sneak peek of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves on the big screen.

To quote: We first announced the special Uncharted 2 cinema events a couple weeks back, and since then, you've been asking us for details. Well, the time has officially come.

If you are lucky enough to live near the Chicago, LA, San Francisco, or Seattle areas, you and a guest have the chance to get down with Uncharted 2: Among Thieves on the big screen before the game releases (you must provide your own transportation)!

The date is Monday, October 5, 2009. We'll have food, an on-site tournament for a chance to compete for prizes, and the opportunity to meet the talented team from Naughty Dog. And best of all, a giant theater screen to see (and a chance to play) UNCHARTED 2 in big-screen glory. This is a very special event, and space is limited.

192w ago - Naughty Dog Senior Manager of Marketing Communications Arne Meyer has shared news of the first Uncharted 2: Among Thieves review today via PlayStation: The Official Magazine.

To quote: We're less than a month out from the launch of UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves and we're starting to see reviews come in. We just received the November issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine in the studio which has the first world review of UNCHARTED 2.

Subscribers should have this issue in the mail any time now and, if you don't have a subscription, you can pick up a copy from newsstands in the next couple of weeks.

Cracking open the issue, which features UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves as its cover, we were totally thrilled to see that our game received a perfect 5/5 AND the Editors' Choice award for the month!

We've been working incredibly hard over the past two years to make UNCHARTED 2 the best game we've made yet and we're all smiles to hear that we're not the only ones who think we've got something really great on our hands.

You'll have to pick up your own copy to read the ten full pages of UNCHARTED 2 details, but in the meantime here's an image of the cover to serve as a preview.

196w ago - Naughty Dog Editor Taylor Kurosaki has shared a new Uncharted 2: Among Thieves PS3 GamesCom trailer today, as follows:

One thing you all should know about the way we make trailers is there really isn't much TO know. We think the best way to show off our games is to do just that, show the game.

The footage in the trailer is generated directly from the Naughty Dog 2.0 engine. The only difference between what you see here and what you'll get a chance to play on October 13th is the speed at which we set the game to run at the time of capture.

I hope you all enjoy the trailer and I look forward to seeing you online when our open multiplayer beta launches September 15th.
