SingStar Coming to PS4 Alongside Free Companion App This Year

To quote: Hi everyone! Here at SingStar HQ we're really excited to announce some very big changes coming to SingStar this year.

It's hard to believe but SingStar is ten years old today, and in that time we've sold a whopping 26 million copies, so thanks to all of you for your fantastic support over the years.

Over the last decade we've really tried to keep making your SingStar experience the very best possible, like launching the SingStore back in 2007 to give you instant access to the best tracks online. And we don't plan to stop any time soon.

We're pleased to announce that SingStar will be coming to PS4 later this year! We'll also be launching a free SingStar app that will transform your smartphone into a microphone. That's right, no mics required.

The app works with both PS3 and PS4 versions of SingStar and is compatible with smartphones and tablets. The app will also let you create your own personal playlists.

In Chasm, players take up the role of Daltyn, a young soldier sent to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a mining crew in the remote mountain town of Karthas. Upon arrival you learn the town has been cut off from the outside world by supernatural forces.

Now trapped, you are left with no option but to explore the mines below the town and uncover the source of the disturbances. Only by gaining new special abilities, evading dangerous traps, and defeating hordes of deadly enemies can you hope to save Karthas - and possibly the world!

One of the hardest parts of game design is creating a unique and interesting world for players to explore. The Metroidvania genre has always been popular among exploration fans, and utilizes unlockable items or abilities that help the player reach previously inaccessible areas.

Lately, we've been doing a ton of playtesting of Road Not Taken, particularly with fellow game developers. (If you're ever looking for brutally honest feedback, other game developers are a good place to start.)

In general, the feedback has been pretty positive: people love the game's basic mechanics, art and audio. But one big issue repeatedly crept up in many of our playtests: people weren't sensing the depth of the game and weren't feeling a strong sense of progression. This post is all about how we've been fixing that.

I like to think of Road Not Taken as an iceberg floating in the ocean: a tiny percentage of the total game is visible above the surface when you first start playing, while the vast majority of the game lies unseen, waiting to be discovered.

Beatshapers Announces Ready to Run is Racing to PS4 This Year

In case you're not familiar with Beatshapers, we're a small developer and digital publisher from Kiev, Ukraine. To date, we've published 19 games on PlayStation Store. The most significant are BreakQuest series (minis), StarDrone Extreme (PS Vita), Jetpack Joyride (minis) and Furmins (PS Vita, made together with Housemarque).

Ready to Run is a furious RC car racing game in a unique retro-futuristic setting, and it's actually planned as a franchise, with the first title coming exclusively to PS4.

Here are a few of Ready to Run's features:

• Highly responsive, arcade-style RC racing physics
• 15+ futuristic radio-control cars with various designs

Uncharted 3 PS3 Celebrates Its Two Year Anniversary with a New Map

Below are the details, to quote: It's been two years since Uncharted 3 was released. Our community is simply amazing, and we're looking to make it stronger than ever.

To that end, we combed over a multitude of comments and forum posts to see what you wanted changed in the multiplayer game. We took the most highly-sought changes mentioned and made them happen. The list of those changes is below, and it's an epic patch that rivals patch 1.13.
