Video: New Tearaway PS Vita Story Trailer Debuted, New Details

50°
46w ago - Sony Community Manager James Spafford shared a new Tearaway PS Vita story trailer and details today on the upcoming PlayStation Vita title below!

To quote: The PlayStation.Blog team came to visit us at Mm towers recently to make a series of videos about our studio, and our latest game, Tearaway. This is the first video, which features Rex, Kenny (And me!) talking about Tearaway's world, story, and music.

What we don't talk about in the video enough are these guys, iota and atoi, the messengers. Tearaway differs from other games, in that you play alongside the main character, not as them.

You first meet iota or atoi at the start of our journey, when a strange message is sent to you from a papery dimension. Before you can read it, it falls back down into the papery world it came from, and comes to life.

Some villainous Scraps immediately try to stir up some trouble, but you sweep in and save the day using your giant fleshy fingers to squash them.

Glancing skywards at your face peeping through a hole in the sun, your messenger sees it was you that saved them, and from this moment forth the bond between you both will grow stronger and stronger.

Hope you enjoy this video, look...

Video: Killzone Shadow Fall on PS4: New PlayStation 4 Story Trailer

47w ago - Guerrilla Games Producer Poria Torkan shared a new PlayStation 4 ttory trailer video showcasing Killzone Shadow Fall on PS4 below.

To quote: To what lengths would you go to defend your home?

That's the central question in this brand-new story trailer for Killzone Shadow Fall. On planet Vekta, where rival Helghast and Vektan factions are living side by side under an uneasy truce, the answer depends entirely on who you ask.

To Chancellor Visari, leader of the displaced Helghast people, the Vektans are aggressors that must be kept in check by whatever means necessary. To Vektan Security Agency Director Sinclair, the biggest threat to peace is the very presence of the Helghast people.

Sinclair and Visari aren't the only ones at odds over their plans for planet Vekta. Behind the scenes, forces within each faction have begun warring and conspiring to further their own agendas. Some, like the extremist splinter group Black Hand, want to force an all-out civil war.

Others, like Helghast intelligence operative Echo, are desperately trying to prevent it. As Shadow Marshal Lucas Kellan, you must deal with the escalating hostilities before they envelop the entire planet - but you'll quickly discover that trust is a scarce resource on Vekta.

Rain: The Story Behind 2013's Most Intriguing PSN Release

67w ago - Sony Blog Manager Fred Dutton shared details today on the Rain: the story behind 2013's most intriguing PSN release below.

To quote: Hopefully you found the time last week to take a look at the haunting new trailer for Rain - the new adventure game from Japan Studio heading to PlayStation 3 later this year.

It's shaping up to be one of the most intriguing PSN titles of the year, channeling the same sense of freewheeling creativity that made Journey, The Unfinished Swan and Tokyo Jungle such stand-out experiences.

The setup is simple - you play as a lone boy who finds himself alone in a mysterious rain-soaked city. The twist? He's completely invisible, except for the outline of the precipitation running off his body.

You'll guide him through this strange world as he goes in pursuit of a girl who's seemingly suffering the exact same predicament, while also trying to evade malevolent hostile forces.

I sat down with the game's producer Noriko Umemura when she was in London last week and dug a little deeper into this fascinating title.

PlayStation.Blog: Rain has one of the more unusual set-ups in recent memory. Where did the idea come from?

Noriko Umemura: When we gathered together, we had one thing in common - we wanted...
