Sony Announces PlayStation Network Scheduled Maintenance

159w ago - Today Sony Senior Director of Corporate Communications and Social Media Patrick Seybold has announced news of PlayStation Network scheduled maintenance tomorrow- Thursday, August 11, 2011.

To quote: PlayStation Network is scheduled to undergo routine maintenance tomorrow, August 11th, from about 8am until approximately 7pm Pacific Time.

During this time, registration and Account Management will be inaccessible, including the password reset process.

While some users may experience difficulty signing into PSN and the PlayStation Store, the majority of users will be able to play online as well as sign in to external sites that require PSN authentication (like this one).

Sony Announces Important PlayStation Network Maintenance

169w ago - Today VP Eric Lempel of Sony Network Entertainment has announced that PlayStation Network will be undergoing some important maintenance in order to get PSN fully operational again.

To quote: Starting soon, the PlayStation Network will be inaccessible for several hours for maintenance. The server maintenance performed at this time represents a crucial step in the full restoration for PSN, including the PlayStation Store.

During this maintenance period, users will be unable to sign in to PSN, though those that are already logged in should be able to remain online.

Resumption of full PlayStation Network service is still on track for this week in most regions.

Thank you once again for your patience as we work to return PSN to the highest level of service.

170w ago - Today Sony's Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has announced news of scheduled PlayStation Network maintenance and confirmed that there will be no PSN Store update today as well.

To quote: PlayStation Network is scheduled to undergo maintenance today, from about 8am until approximately 5pm Pacific time. During this time, registration and Account Management will be inaccessible, including the password reset process.

While some users may experience difficulty signing in to PSN, the majority of consumers will be able to play online as well as sign in to external sites that require PSN authentication (like this one).

For those asking about the PlayStation Store, we're still targeting restoration of all services by the end of this month. Contrary to reports, the Store will not be publishing today.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
 

Sony Announces PSN Maintenance is Planned for August 30, 2010

209w ago - SCEE Blog Manager James Gallagher has announced today that PSN will be down for planned PlayStation Network maintenance this Monday- August 30, 2010.

To quote: PlayStation Network will undergo routine maintenance on Monday 30 August between the hours of 08:00 and 21:00 BST.

During this time you will not be able to access PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home or any part of Account Management, such as your Download List.

However, you should be able to play games online and sign-in here on the PlayStation Blog, at eu.playstation.com and on the official PlayStation forums.
