Sony Unveils PlayStation Vue, New Internet / Web Cloud-Based TV Service

2w ago - Sony Computer Entertainment's Andrew House officially unveiled their new Internet / Web cloud-based TV service called PlayStation Vue today proclaiming "Everyday TV is about to become extraordinary with our new cloud-based TV service."

Below is the official Press Release, as follows: Sony Network Entertainment International LLC (SNEI) and Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCE) today unveiled PlayStation Vue, a pioneering new cloud-based TV service that reinvents the television experience.

"Everyday TV is about to become extraordinary with our new cloud-based TV service, PlayStation Vue," said Andrew House, President and Group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. and Group Executive in charge of the Network Entertainment Business.

"PlayStation Vue reinvents the traditional viewing experience so your programming effortlessly finds you, enabling you to watch much more of what you want and search a lot less.

PlayStation Vue brings the best of live TV and a robust catalog of the latest content, always keeping you connected to what's popular, new and trending. Today's announcement builds on the historic success of PlayStation 4 and demonstrates what our company is capable of when we embrace disruption and stay true to gamers."

Video: Sony Celebrates 20 Years of PlayStation, Thanks Fans in Trailer

2w ago - Today Sony released a video trailer thanking fans while celebrating 20 years of PlayStation!

To quote: Sony Computer Entertainment just released a lovely trailer celebrating the 20th anniversary of the PlayStation Brand.

The trailer, titled "Everyone Who Loves Games, Thank you," goes through many of the games appeared on PlayStation platforms, all the way from the beginning (actually before the beginning, with titles from before the PlayStation era) to the newest and unreleased ones.

PlayStation Experience Event: Sony Confirms 20 Panels, Details

To quote: Our big [Register or Login to view links] is all set to kick off in Las Vegas on December 6th and 7th!

If you show up (and you'd better!!!), you'll get an exclusive chance to play a big lineup of 2015 games including Dying Light, Battlefield Hardline, Tearaway Unfolded, and the one I'm most personally excited for, Mortal Kombat X (FATALITY).

You'll also get a front-row seat for some big announcements, and a chance to pick up exclusive merchandise from your favorite studios and publishers. So far, so good!
