33w ago - Today Sony has announced news of a PSN-SOE Canada class action lawsuit settlement for Canadian users affected by the PlayStation Network hacking that took place back in 2011.
Below are the details, to quote: PSN-SOE Canada Settlement
If you had a PlayStation Network account, a Qriocity account, or a Sony Online Entertainment account at any time before May 15, 2011, you could get benefits from a class action settlement.
A settlement has been reached with the Sony Entities in a class action lawsuit about the illegal and unauthorized attacks in April of 2011 on the computer network systems used to provide the PlayStation Network ("PSN"), Qriocity, and Sony Online Entertainment ("SOE") services (the "Intrusions"). The settlement provides benefits to eligible Canadian consumers who file a valid claim.
The Ontario Superior Court of Justice will have a hearing to decide whether to give final approval to the settlement, so that the benefits can be issued. The included consumers have legal rights and options, such as excluding themselves from the settlement, or alternatively, objecting to and/or submitting a claim for benefits from the settlement....
37w ago - Today Sony Computer Entertainment Hardware Engineer Todd Tokubo has announced news of a Bioshock Infinite Audio Mode for the Pulse Elite Edition Headset.
To quote: Tomorrow marks a big day for world-acclaimed studio Irrational Games with the release of Bioshock Infinite, so it's only suitable that we mark the occasion with something special.
For the first time, we are partnering with a game developer to deliver a specially crafted audio experience exclusive to PlayStation. Tonight at midnight, we are launching a new audio mode for the PULSE-Elite Edition Headset designed especially for BioShock Infinite. Better still, it will be free.
We worked with them to take advantage of our new BassImpact technology embedded in the Pulse-Elite headset to create a sound profile that enables players to feel gunshots and explosions in a much more dynamic and powerful way.
Engineers on both teams worked together to tie the pulses from BassImpact to key audio elements in the game, creating a more immersive experience as you fight your way through...
51w ago - Sony Associate Product Marketing Manager Richard Ho has posted up a video today showcasing the new Pulse Elite Edition application that allows custom pre-set modes below!
To quote: Tomorrow, we're releasing a free App to support the addition of new audio Modes for PULSE wireless stereo headset - Elite Edition.
To make your listening experience more dynamic, BassImpact has been added to new Modes for games, movies and music. In some instances, the sound profiles of the original movie or music scores have been adjusted to emphasize certain sounds.
As you know from watching our video walkthrough back in September there are currently six different default audio Modes available: Game, Shooter, Racing, Fighting, Music and Movie.
This new app will add five new Modes to your already enhanced audio experience:
• Football (Game):
BassImpact lets you feel the crunch of bone-crushing tackles or jolts behind every kick of the football
• Horror (Movie):
Deep bass sounds are enhanced to heighten the eerie atmosphere while the high shrill of screams are boosted to make you jump out of your seat.
• Action (Movie):
The low and high sounds of explosions and gunfire are magnified delivering a bigger and more intense audio experience.
I like this method because all spoofs are on fly by PSN on DEX without installing something on PS3 (except for the ca27).
I know, almost no one needs it anymore (at least not for PS3 Firmware 4.25), but for all those like me, who for example don't want to change IDPS on DEX, or needs some settings to be variable, can use this tool to set all kinds of spoof settings. Get my rar -> its a ready to use pack.
