123w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has shared answers today to some common PS3 multiplayer questions in the upcoming title Aliens: Colonial Marines for the PlayStation 3 entertainment system below.

To quote: If you're like me, you've been watching the recent Prometheus trailers ([Register or Login to view links]) over and over, pausing only to wipe the frothy spittle off your chin.

If you're really like me, you've also been wondering, "what's it gonna take for some talented studio to create a killer game based on the Alien films?"

Luckily, Gearbox Software is building an increasingly compelling case with Aliens: Colonial Marines, an upcoming big-budget PS3 shooter that aims to pick up where James Cameron's seminal 1986 film Aliens left off.

While we know a good bit about the game's tense single-player campaign, details about its multiplayer component have remained frustratingly elusive. So we took to [Register or Login to view links] followers a simple question – what do you want to know about the multiplayer mode in Aliens: Colonial Marines?

We received a flood of questions - some insightful, some maniacally detail-oriented - and presented them to [Register or Login to view links]

Video: Codemasters Answers DiRT Showdown PS3 Questions

50°
125w ago - Today Community Manager Ian Webster at Codemasters has answered some popular DiRT Showdown PS3 questions alongside sharing a new video trailer below.

To quote: What with the release of DiRT Showdown on PS3 inching ever closer, we turned to twitter to find out what you guys need to know about the game, and then had those questions answered by Mike Chapman, Senior Designer on the game.

Is this just something to keep us going until Dirt 4?

It has to be said that the idea for a game like DiRT Showdown has been in the studio's collective mind for some time. After we finished work on DiRT 3, we knew that the time was right for the DiRT team to explore some new avenues.

First and foremost though, the game will be an exciting DiRT experience in its own right and we're confident that our existing fans will appreciate the direction we've taken, especially with what that means for future games in the series.

DiRT franchise is awesome! Thoroughly love the way it's progressed. Would you guys ever return to GRiD?

It's great to see that, years after its release, the original GRID is still such a popular game and that people have hopes for a sequel.

Matching and exceeding expectations would of course be our highest priority...

The much anticipated launch of PS Vita is finally here, and gamers can now get their hands on the most robust handheld platform ever to enter the gaming space.

The introduction of new technology often brings a multitude of questions, and while several were answered in the PS Vita Ultimate FAQ, we're still getting additional questions related to the 3G feature set and how this "play virtually anytime and anywhere" approach to gaming will change the way that we consume content and compete with friends via the PS Vita.

Check out the following FAQ regarding the 3G compatibilities of the PS Vita and how to best take advantage of the features it offers. If you have more specific questions, please refer to the PlayStation Knowledge Center's list of most common PS Vita 3G and AT&T issues as well as this deep-dive PS Vita 3G FAQ.

How can I activate my 3G data service on my PS Vita?
Activating the 3G data service doesn't require going to an AT&T store or even being at a computer. From right on the PS Vita's home screen, touch the icon entitled "Network Operator" to launch into the process.

350°
151w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has shared an FAQ on PixelJunk SideScroller below, which is now live on PSN today!

To quote: PixelJunk SideScroller is finally out in the world! This retro-styled side-scrolling shooter plays like a love note to the arcade games I grew up with in my youth, and serves as a quasi-epilogue to the PixelJunk Shooter series.

Before you pick it up on the PlayStation Store, get a closer look with this handy new Q&A. Q-Games President and Executive Producer Dylan Cuthbert took to [Register or Login to view links] to answer your most burning questions. Read closely and you might learn a few helpful secrets!

Q: How many levels come with PixelJunk SideScroller?

A: There are 13 levels (called "Sectors") in total. This includes four absolutely amazing boss battles (Note: Expect an "old friend" from the Shooter-verse to make an appearance, but you'll be seeing loads of new faces as well).

One thing that's so great about SideScroller is that it has four difficulty modes, and the experience will change depending on what difficulty mode you select. New enemies crop up in Hard difficulty mode, and expect certain encounters to get a whole lot more harrowing because of them.

200°
153w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has shared a Batman: Arkham City Q&A today with Rocksteady alongside a video trailer below.

To quote: It's been mere months since I belatedly finished Batman: Arkham Asylum and learned what all the fuss was about. Now, with Arkham City just days away from its October 18th PS3 release, I jumped at a rare chance to speak with Game Director Sefton Hill from [Register or Login to view links].

I solicited some of your best questions from [Register or Login to view links] and hopped on the phone with Mr. Hill to discuss a wide range of topics related to one of my most-anticipated games for 2011. Before you dive into the Q&A, get into the spirit by watching the new "Rogue's Gallery" video below.

PlayStation.Blog: In Arkham Asylum I was able to level up almost all of my skills by the end of the game. Does Arkham City bring more skill upgrades and more skill diversification, perhaps specialized character builds?

We've certainly expanded the number of upgrades in the game - we had 20 upgrades in Arkham Asylum, and we now have 33 different upgrades in Arkham City.

There are a lot of ways to develop your skills and use them in the game....
